The snake was vigilant, moving closely with its gang while getting ready to attack. They moved in unpredictable ways while Little Black and the rest slowly stepped backward.

Eris held the egg firmly as he moved forward, staring at the snakes as he stretched out his hand. He had intended to drop it on the ground while they were away.

But as he slowly stretched out his hand to set it down, one of the snakes struck. The wild snake appeared with such force that it was impossible for Eris to act fast.

He could only drop the egg on the soft layers of the ground. But the violent snake had bitten him on the hand and pulled backward.

Eris didn’t attack. The wild him would have had the natural impulse of defense and attacked this snake, tearing it into pieces. But he held himself as he kept the egg, pulling backward while holding onto his bitten hand.

Immediately, the snakes gathered around their egg as one pulled it away. And so they all took off.

The snakes soon disappeared into the bushes as Sunnie quickly approached Eris. "Are you okay?" She asked, worried as she took his hand, staring at the snake bite on it.

"Are you okay? Does it hurt? We need to get you treated and all..." She explained.

But Eris smiled as he shook his head. "No, no need for that. We need to find Lune first before anything." He said as he looked around, worried. He didn’t even know where to begin looking.

Luka was carrying Luna now as he stared at Eris. "Are you sure you’re not going to get yourself treated? I mean, those snakes don’t look so kind at all."

Luna, who was in his arms, also stared at Eris’s hand as she said, "Papa, hand... Blood..." She blinked while staring at his arm.

"We’ll talk about that when we find Lune," he explained, brushing the thoughts off as he moved forward. He looked extremely worried in that moment without knowing where to begin looking for his son.

At that moment, Little Black felt bad as he said to Eris, "I’m sorry for not looking after him properly." He said, looking down.

But Eris smiled at him as he patted him on the ears. "Don’t blame yourself at all. The kid is always running off... so we wouldn’t have predicted where he would have gone this time. So instead of blaming yourself, let’s go look for him."

Little Black stared up at him and nodded. "Mmm. Let’s go and find him."

Luka looked at Luna as he asked, "Do you know where your brother went to?"

Everyone stared at the little fox, who looked around without saying anything. She hesitated and then shook her head.

They all sighed as they turned and stared at themselves. "I think we should go our different ways. We should separate and look for him properly..." Sunnie suggested.

Luka nodded. "Yes, I think that would be faster."

They all agreed to do that while Sunnie stared at Eris. She hadn’t seen Eris in this state before.

Eris was looking extremely disturbed and worried. The thought of not knowing where his little cub was really eating him up at this moment, and Sunnie understood him. It was his cub—something he had never really experienced before. So he was extremely worried.

Sunnie smiled as she patted him on the shoulder. "Don’t worry, we’ll find him for sure. Okay?"

Eris slowly nodded as well as he said, "Okay..." He sighed as he added, "He’s just alone in the woods and all... and we don’t know where he is now..."

He added, "What if he’s in danger? I mean, it’s a dangerous wood with all these wild beasts and all... and he’s all alone without any protection or anything... What if..."

Sunnie smiled, watching him all worried and worked up. "I understand. But we have to believe that he’s fine. Nothing will happen to him. Let’s not jinx anything, okay?"

Eris hesitated and then nodded. "Okay... okay then."

They went in different directions and began searching for where Lune could be. The others who were practicing and training had also learned about it and came to join them in the mass search as well.

They went down different paths into the woods, separating and going deeper regardless of how dangerous it was to look for Lune.

Eris didn’t care about encountering any dangerous wild animals or anything. He was more worried about finding his son. And so he led the beast husbands into dangerous spots to track him down.

On their way into the deep wild forest, they encountered wild beasts—huge, dangerous-looking wolves hiding deep in the bushes. It was a land they hadn’t explored yet.

Eris didn’t care about how dangerous they were. He didn’t even care about fighting them or anything. He just wanted to go around and look for his son.

But these wild wolves didn’t seem to care at all. They were ready to tear down anyone who came close to their wild home.

Luka stepped backward with a blink. "I think we should head to another route now... I doubt that Lune will be here at all."

Azure slowly nodded. "These strange wolves don’t look like they’re in the mood to be accepting now at all."

But Eris didn’t seem to care. He had a cold expression as he stared at the wolves who were lining up before them, ready to strike.

He clenched his fist as he stared at them. "Does it look like I care at all? All I want is to find my little cub. I don’t care about their opinions at all."

"...."

The other beast husbands stared at themselves and then at Eris. They guessed he wasn’t willing to compromise now at all. He was all set to go and do anything to find his cub.

And they understood him completely.

Luka said, "Okay then... Give your orders and..." But it was already too late for him to speak.
