1Before Luka could finish speaking, Eris had already jumped into the scene.

Eris had viciously stepped into the scene as the wolves brutally attacked him to take him down. But Eris had come with all the fury possible.

He slammed his fist hard against one, sending it flying through the air. For another, he kicked him so hard that he crashed against two other wolves and fell hard.

Eris brutally used his claws, scratching hard against these wolves and sending blood spilling from their skins and peeling through their furs.

Soon, it had become an unfair fight because wild Eris was at the scene, tearing them all down and throwing them around like footballs.

The other beast husbands stood there, quiet and blinking as they watched the scene like some TV show. They simply moved their heads and eyes while following Eris throwing these wild wolves from one side to another and sending them flying for their dear lives.

At that moment, they couldn’t help but take pity on these wolves because Eris had taken down all twenty-plus of them alone.

In a matter of minutes, these wolves were mostly on the floor. He didn’t kill any of them—he had given them the greatest beating of their lives and sent them bruised hard on the floor. Some of these wolves struggled to their feet and staggered away. Surely, they wouldn’t dare mess with Eris again.

"I guess he means business," Luka blinked.

"And that’s the other side of Eris—the wild side that you don’t want to come out," Karl acknowledged.

"And he let it out for his little cub. That’s cute," Luka smiled as they stared at Eris, who turned to them.

"So? Coming or?"

"Sure! Let’s go!" Luka smiled as they happily followed behind.

And so they continued their search for the little one, going in and out of dangerous zones while calling out to the cub but to no avail.

Everyone was searching in their own spaces but didn’t find anything at all. Night had already approached, and they were already getting exhausted and tired—worried and frustrated even, because they had searched almost everywhere and didn’t find any sign of him at all.

That night, the search was still on. But Sunnie and some women had returned to prepare some food.

They couldn’t search on empty stomachs since none of them had eaten since morning. So at least she came to get some food for everyone while they continued the search they had planned for all night.

Eris was bent on searching without rest until they had found the little one.

Sunnie and the women prepared to pack up the meal as Elza stared at Sunnie. She couldn’t help but notice how worried she was even though Sunnie was trying to be calm.

She gently patted Sunnie on the shoulders. "Feel free to show that you’re worried when you are. Don’t always try to be the strong one."

Sunnie stared at her with a nod. She had always felt that since she was the one leading the tribe mostly, she had to be the strongest. And so she always stayed calm even when she was panicking at moments like this.

She was already used to it. Even in the real world, while working in the corporate world, she was always forced to stay calm even in terrible situations. Even when your world was falling apart, you still had to stay calm to finish the work on your table before the deadline—especially since you’re leading a group of workers as well.

It had become something of a nature.

She smiled at Elza with a nod. "Thanks."

Elza and the other women prepared the meal as the others helped out.

While they were preparing the packed meal to leave, Luna sat there at a distance staring at them in observance. Then she asked, "Mama, what is everyone looking for?"

They stared at her as Sunnie smiled and said, "Nothing much. Just go and get some sleep, okay?" She was worried that the little girl would be worried if told that they were looking for her little brother.

So she wanted her to go and sleep.

But Luna tilted her head as she asked, "Are we looking for Lune?"

Everyone stared at her. They guessed the little girl already knew what was happening.

Sunnie smiled as she said, "Don’t worry at all. We’re close to finding your brother, okay? Just go and get some sleep, and we’ll find him soon. Okay?" She assured.

But Luna sat there staring at them with confusion on her face. Then the little girl asked, "But is everyone looking for brother?"

Elza hesitated as she said, "Little brother went out for something. So everyone is going to bring him back."

"Went out?" Luna asked, confused now. "When did brother go out? Hasn’t he been sleeping in here all day long?"

"...."

"...."

Everyone went quiet for a moment. At first, they didn’t understand what Luna was talking about. They figured she was speaking another random thing again.

"What are you talking about?" Sunnie asked with a smile. "You should get some sleep."

But Luna was insistent as she said, "But little brother is inside sleeping. He has been sleeping all day now though. So why are we looking for little brother again if he is sleeping peacefully inside? Can’t we go inside and find him?"

"Or is it a game? Can I play too?" Luna asked, excited with a bright smile.

"...."

"...."

Silence fell among them as they turned and stared at each other. They were speechless; they couldn’t even believe what they had heard.

"What are you talking about...?" Sunnie asked as Luna repeated the same thing.

"Brother is inside sleeping though. He doesn’t want to come and play with me at all," Luna explained.

At that moment, Sunnie and the rest around gasped. They were speechless as Sunnie and the rest rushed into the cave to check on what Luna was saying.

And behold, Lune was actually lying there, sleeping peacefully.
