Chapter 201: Shameless
At that moment, the rabbit tribe leader forced a smile as he stared at Sunnie. "We haven’t met each other in a long time and haven’t even spoken, so now that we’ve finally met, you shouldn’t be too rude to us."
Sunnie’s mother smiled as she said, "Exactly. At the end of the day, we’re your people after all, and we’re here to see you after a long time. So don’t you think you should be nicer to us?"
Sunnie was simply disgusted as she stared at them. She didn’t have words to express how she felt at the moment.
Then one of the mer men who had arrived smiled as he said, "Enough with the frowning and cold shoulders. We came to visit you all, so you guys should be happy to see us and smile a little."
"And why should we do that?" Sunnie questioned while trying hard to keep a calm expression. "I think it’s pretty clear here that no one is happy to see any of you. So it’s best you just leave."
The rabbit tribe leader scoffed as he said, "Hey, don’t you think it’s too rude to just send us away like that? That’s not so nice at all."
Her brother insisted, "Exactly. We came all the way here to see you. You can’t just send us off like that."
The bear tribe leader scoffed as he folded his arms. "And why would you even think of sending us off to start with? Why are you being so rude? Just because you got some food?"
At that moment, another person from the mice tribe spoke up. "Let’s stop beating about the bush and just get straight to the point. Our reason for coming here is pretty clear. We’re all close here, so it only makes sense that you accept us and hand us some meal."
Another person from the mice tribe spoke. "Exactly. Let’s not waste our time here. You are all from our tribes here. So at least be filial with us and hand us some food now so we can go back. It’s what family should do."
They agreed. Sunnie and the rest simply stared in disgust. They couldn’t believe their eyes; they never thought they’d be this shameless.
Elza had already clenched her fist in fury as she glared at the man speaking. "Family? Close? I hope you’re joking right now. Because someone like you guys who could treat people like despicable wastes have no right to even come here to talk about family."
The mice stared at Elza and the rest. "Why act up based on what happened in the past? All things are in the past, so let’s just move on now. If you guys want to come back and stay with the tribe, as long as you bring some foodstuff for the tribe, we’ll gladly accept you."
The other mice agreed to this as Elza stared in pure disgust. She couldn’t even speak further as she stared at them.
Sunnie scoffed. "What a joke." She stared at them. "I don’t have much words stored to speak to such disgusting people. So please get out of our sight before you make me lose it."
Sunnie’s mother scoffed. "I can’t believe how rude you’ve become! Have you become that heartless over some foodstuff that you can’t even consider your tribe people?"
Sunnie was enraged. "Family? What family are you talking about? Oh, the same one who decided I was a monster and had me humiliated across all tribes? The same tribe that made me feel like a disgusting beast for ages while ridiculing my existence and torturing me all this while? Or the same people who made sure my life was miserable till the end when they finally abandoned me by exiling me to die?"
She stared at her mother and brother. "Or maybe the same family who killed and ruined things and people around me to make sure that I was the cursed person everyone said I was... For instance... my first mate."
As she said this, everyone went quiet. Her mother and brother stared in shock, speechless as to how she had figured this out, while her beast husbands stared at her in pity and shock.
Sunnie had figured this out a while back after transmigration. After she had taken the memories of the host, she was able to figure things out for herself and realize that her husband and some people around her didn’t just die because she was cursed. Rather, it was a well-orchestrated plan by her family to make her the evil one—to make her appear like the curse everyone already believed.
They never liked her. They hated her existence from day one. So they made their plan to eliminate her till the end.
"What rubbish are you talking about?" Her mother questioned. "You can’t just speak rubbish like that."
Sunnie smiled. "Let’s not even get started on all the disgusting things you all have done. Killing? Sabotaging? Framing? What malicious things haven’t you two done to make sure I was the evil one?" She smiled as she slowly walked up to them.
While they stared at her in shock, Sunnie smiled as she said, "You know I’ve already long decided that you all were lowly, pathetic beings who could stoop down to that level. So I’m not so surprised anymore about what shameless things you could pull. So just leave my sight if you don’t want any trouble, because this isn’t the old daughter you think you know. This new one could potentially fight back to destroy you."
Her eyes were cold and ruthless as she spoke. It had even frightened her mother and brother and the tribe people around.
"You ungrateful daughter!" her mother snapped.
"How dare you talk down on us like that?!" her brother questioned as he raised his hand to land a harsh slap on her.
But immediately, Luka stepped forward, held his hand, and twisted it as her brother fell to his knees in pain.
"Ah! Leave me alone!" her brother cried in immense pain as Luka held his hand firmly, twisting it in pure torture.
