Chapter 199: Unfriendly Visits
Sunnie had made some observations of the inflow of visitors along with her tribe mates.
On a sunny day, while Sunnie and her beast husbands were heading to the farmland to harvest some crops that had already matured enough for usage, they encountered some visitors.
Sunnie didn’t think she knew them at all. A group of male beast dogs had surrounded them, all holding their weapons.
They threatened them. "Hand us all the food you have, and maybe we’ll let your pathetic selves live!" one of them threatened.
Sunnie sighed. She didn’t have time for this; she had some meals being made at home that she needed to quickly return to. "Are you being for real right now?" she asked.
The dog beast males stared at each other and then at Sunnie. "Do you think we’re scared of you all? Never! We can take you all down...!"
Before they could finish their sentence, they heard some loud growls around. Everyone paused as they stared around. "What’s that...?"
"I don’t know..."
Before they could think further, they heard more sounds and then sighted some wild beasts making their way out of the bushes. Everyone panicked at the sight. They had heard from the surviving hyenas about how they had encountered some wild beasts, and now they couldn’t believe seeing them for themselves.
Shocked, they all began stepping backward. Their legs shook in fear as their weapons fell from their hands. None of them had the mind to fight these monsters.
And so immediately they all ran off. "We’ll come back later! We’ll get back to you!" they cried in fear, running off. And none of them did.
Sunnie sighed with a smile as she shook her head.
"I guess it’s okay not to stress yourself sometimes and let them do the job," Zayn shrugged.
"We’re probably retiring now," Karl sighed. "All thanks to someone who won’t let us handle them apparently," he said as he stared at Sunnie.
Sunnie smiled as she said, folding her arms, "You should be grateful. I’m making you all better people."
Karl rolled his eyes. "Better my foot."
---
Sunnie guessed that what she feared was happening. News had already spread about what they had, and people would begin flooding in.
She had done her part by urging them all to increase security while putting double attention on protection of their storage. Hopefully, the wild beasts they had recruited as security would do a good job protecting them.
---
Weeks had gone by, and the wild beasts had done a great job in their area. While Sunnie presented them with meals from time to time even though they didn’t demand it, they worked harder by taking down or scaring off any beast tribe that tried attacking or invading the area. Now, they didn’t only protect the farmland but also Sunnie’s home.
While they were protecting them, Sunnie and the rest had worked toward building more habitations, especially for the chipmunks, while also building extra houses to make the place fuller.
They built some few huts around while developing the area more. Over the couple of weeks they worked on it, the place had become more decent. The environment was improved, and the houses arranged had become more homely, with the cave sitting in the middle of the scene.
Flowers were planted, and some places were cleared for more spaces. The kitchen spaces were arranged more cohesively, and everything was tied together in a better way.
Within that time, Sunnie and the rest had worked hard enough to improve the place in a better light, and it indeed worked, with Sunnie pulling everyone—including her husbands—into working hard for the improvement of their home.

Sunnie couldn’t help but smile in relief at the positive look of the stats. Everything was going well so far, and she was gaining enough heart coins to aid them in emergency situations of what she’d need to purchase. For now, she didn’t necessarily need to do so since she had developed all that they’d need domestically here.
With over 70,000 heart coins now, she was certain she was in good hands for the meantime.
---
The security wild beasts were still doing their jobs willingly to the best of their ability. Sunnie and Little Black had gone to the farmland one morning to see some dead leopard beastmen who had tried invading the land at night but ended up dead in the hands of these wild beasts.
Sunnie couldn’t help but wonder if they had any survival instinct at all but ultimately shrugged it off.
And so they continued living their peaceful life at their own little tribe, with everything they needed at their disposal while also raising the little ones together.
And that was the moment they got a collective visit from tribes they didn’t expect to see at all.
