Chapter 140: Lullaby For All.
Luka stiffened at the sudden feeling that arose in him. He felt someone’s lips against his—Sunnie’s lips were firmly pressed against his in a deep, intimate kiss.
Sunnie held both of his cheeks in her palms, guiding him as she pressed deeper into the kiss, parting his mouth as her tongue pressed into his.
Luka felt his heart beating faster and faster, but the feeling he got was too good to bother himself with what his heart was doing. Immediately, his mind went numb; he wasn’t thinking anymore. All he could think about was the feeling running through his body from the kiss.
It was the first time he had experienced this electrifying feeling. Sunnie’s mouth inside him aroused things in him that he didn’t know were possible.
Sunnie licked through his lips as he intuitively kept his eyes closed, moving his legs while he felt something between his legs hardening.
Sunnie’s tongue was now playing inside his mouth, teasing his tongue and every inch of it. He felt his breath hold while Sunnie’s mouth led him on. She moved her hands down his shoulder while he ran his fingers through his bare body.
She felt the muscles of his bare body, running her fingers through the lines while kissing him deeply. Luka didn’t move. He sat there, his mouth open, allowing her to feel each part of it, licking his saliva and running her tongue through.
The kiss lasted for over two minutes before Sunnie slowly pulled back, staring into his face. He still had his eyes closed, mouth open like one anticipating more.
Sunnie smiled as she ran a hand through his bare chest and patted him on the ears, which were already standing tall. "I guess the heart issues stopped. Problem solved."
Immediately, Luka flipped open his eyes. His heart continued beating, but this time with additional issues. He felt himself aroused, like someone craving something—Sunnie. And he felt something between his legs, hard and standing.
Immediately, he stared down at it, shocked. He instantly placed a hand against it. "What in the..."
Sunnie got up to her feet. "I think you should wait a while for your big man to calm down. Going in there with that would make them all tease you for sure." She smiled.
Luka stared at it and looked up at her. "You... that..." He placed a hand over his lips. "That... what is that... why..." He placed a hand over his chest. "It’s still beating..."
Sunnie smiled as she leaned closer, placing a hand over his lips. "Don’t worry, we’ll complete it soon. I just wanted to give you a little help with your heart. Don’t worry, it’ll get better." She winked at him as she turned and walked in.
She left Luka sitting there alone, staring at his bulge in shock while wondering what had just happened.
He placed a hand over his lips and then over his heart. "It didn’t work... I think it made it worse."
He blinked, because now all he could think about was Sunnie’s lips and how they felt against his.

When Sunnie made her way in, they were all still awake.
"Where’s Luka?" Eris asked.
"Outside getting some fresh air." She smiled as she went to sit down beside Maren, who was still awake.
"She hasn’t slept since then?" Sunnie asked.
Azure shook his head. "I’ve tried everything, but she isn’t falling asleep. Rather, she keeps playing with everything she finds."
Little Black sighed. "Sister Sunnie, please do something so that Azure can stop singing to put Maren to sleep. All his attempts to put her to sleep are what is keeping us all awake right now." Little Black looked exhausted.
Sunnie smiled as she stared at Azure. "Why? I thought mer men could sing?"
Little Black and Eris shook their heads immediately. "No. Not Azure. He can’t. It’s like hearing a dead fish humming in the water," Eris instantly said.
Sunnie smiled as Azure glared at them. "Shut up. At least I’m trying something..." He stared at Sunnie with a smile. "Don’t mind them at all."
Sunnie smiled as Luka came into the room. Everyone paused and stared at him.
"Papa Bear!" Maren called out as Luka smiled and waved at them.
"Hello, everyone. I’m back," he said.
They didn’t act as though anything had happened at all. They welcomed Luka warmly while he lay down beside them.
None of them could sleep with Little Maren disturbing everyone with her endless babbling while playing with anything she found around her.
Sunnie knew it was part of her task to put her to sleep. She still had some unfinished business, so she decided to sing for Maren to fall asleep.
"Sister Sunnie, it’s okay to not be able to sing at all. We still love and accept you for who you are, so you don’t have to prove yourself. As a matter of fact, we can all bear with Little Maren’s noises till morning," Little Black explained.
Eris nodded diligently. "I agree."
Karl sighed. "We’ve had enough of Azure’s singing tonight. We don’t need another," he added.
But Sunnie ignored them all. She carried Maren in her arms and began humming some melodies, then she began singing.
Her voice was calm and sweet. It was so soothing through the night that everyone couldn’t help but pause and stare.
At first, they were shocked by her voice, which was better than they thought. It was extremely beautiful and soothing for the night.
Soon, Maren slept. And before they even knew it, they all began falling asleep one by one while listening to Sunnie’s calming voice.
Soon, they had all fallen asleep. Sunnie smiled as she stared at them all. She shook her head as she said, "The disrespect. They should know I won multiple talent shows for singing when I was in school."
She sighed as she slowly put Maren to sleep.
