Everyone immediately got to work.
Melody Monroe was most concerned about the mysterious gift package she had drawn, wondering what was inside. She ignored everything else and went to examine it.
Opening the package, she discovered that the mysterious parcel was actually a professional toolbox! The set of tools inside was incredibly complete.
Looking at the toolbox, she thought, ’My luck isn’t so bad after all!’
"Captain, the supplies have all been inventoried!"
"We don’t have any tents. How are we supposed to make camp?"
"Yeah."
None of them had a clue what to do.
Melody Monroe picked up the toolbox and said to everyone, "Let’s go check out the bamboo forest."
Everyone immediately followed Melody Monroe toward the bamboo forest.
Melody Monroe put down the toolbox and walked around the bamboo forest.
The others didn’t understand what she was doing.
Melody Monroe walked over and took a rope out of the toolbox. "Shaun Owen, take this rope. Start with this stalk of bamboo and wrap it around this whole cluster."
"You got it!" Shaun Owen immediately grabbed the rope and made a loop.
Melody Monroe glanced at it and nodded.
She took out the pen and paper she carried with her and squatted on the ground to draw.
The others quickly gathered around. They looked at Melody Monroe’s drawing, then back at the bamboo stalks encircled by the rope, completely baffled as to what she was planning.
Melody Monroe’s drawing was impeccably precise; it was obviously the work of a professional.
After the drawing was finished, everyone seemed to have some idea of what she was going to do.
"We’re going to use this bamboo to build a small, mushroom-shaped hut."
As soon as they heard Melody Monroe’s voice.
The fans watching the live stream went wild!
"She even thought of this! Can they really pull it off?"
"It’s already eleven in the morning. I don’t think it’s possible for them to finish this task today."
"I just saw Melody Monroe’s drawing. As an architecture student, I’m in absolute awe."
"My education is lacking, so all I can say is: Holy crap, I’m in awe!"
While the fans were still in a heated discussion, Melody Monroe and her team had already begun.
"Nana, Yvonne Lewis, do you see the wild grass growing by the river?" Melody Monroe pointed into the distance.
"We see it! The kind that’s taller than a person?"
"Yes. You two are in charge of cutting the grass."
"Okay! We’ll go right now."
"Wait, gloves." Melody Monroe pulled out two pairs of gloves and handed them to the two women.
Nana Owen and Yvonne Lewis immediately ran toward the river.
"Captain, what should the two of us do?" Shaun Owen immediately asked.
"You two, first go to the river and find a tall rock we can use as a stepladder. Then, except for the six bamboo stalks I’ve marked, I need all the bamboo inside, next to, and around them sawed off at the root. It’s going to be heavy lifting."
"Men were made for heavy lifting!" The two of them got busy as well.
The six bamboo stalks Melody Monroe selected formed a hexagon, enclosing a space of about ten square meters. These stalks, growing directly from the ground, would serve as the six pillars supporting the mushroom-shaped hut.
Next, she also needed many bamboo strips to secure these six stalks, allowing them to brace against each other for greater stability.
Two hours later, she had all the materials she needed.
Her teammates were all exhausted.
After all that hard work, everyone was covered in dirt and looked completely worn out.
Throughout the entire process, none of them interacted with the fans. They were all focused on the work at hand.
Yet, the fans loved this no-nonsense atmosphere, and it only made them more excited to see the finished camp. Over the past few hours, the team had received over one hundred thousand support sticks.
