Raymond Ford didn’t sleep well all night, constantly worried that her secret would get out.
The moment she woke up, she grabbed her phone to check the internet.
When she saw that everything was quiet online, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Today, she had a show to attend called *Face-to-Face with Stars*, an incredibly popular live program from Jansburg East Television.
The show usually invited A-list celebrities, or at least those who were currently trending.
Raymond Ford was stunned and flattered when she received the invitation.
After all, given her current standing, she wasn’t really qualified to be on it.
The reason the show was so explosive was its penchant for digging into celebrities’ private lives, putting scandals on full display and often leaving the stars struggling for an answer.
It was for this very reason that the show’s popularity kept growing.
In reality, it was all just a formula.
No matter how sharp the host’s questions were, everything was rehearsed in advance.
It was all just to grab the public’s attention.
Raymond Ford had received her list of questions long ago. They were all about a few scandals and her previous win at a dance competition. There was nothing too outrageous. ’Looks like the production team is being pretty nice to me,’ she thought.
The show started at seven p.m. and ended at eight-thirty.
Raymond Ford was wearing another expensive, high-end custom outfit.
She had deliberately chosen a rather bright color.
That night, she had been completely outshone by Melody Monroe. People had described her as a dusty, bedraggled crow, and for some time now, she hadn’t dared to wear black or gray.
Upon arriving at the live studio, Raymond Ford was still tidying up her appearance in front of a mirror.
’I have to be in perfect condition to face the audience. This is a live show!’
She reminded herself silently.
’After this show, I’m definitely going to blow up! So what if I get hate? So what if people curse me out? Plenty of people have gotten famous by being controversial.’
’The more hate, the more fame!’
"Welcome, everyone, for tuning in to today’s *Face-to-Face with Stars*. Our guest today is... Raymond Ford! Let’s give her a round of applause," the host’s voice boomed from the stage.
A wave of enthusiastic applause instantly erupted from the audience below.
There were over five hundred people in the live studio audience, a spectacular sight to behold.
Raymond Ford walked out with a confident stride, putting on what she considered her most charming smile as she waved to the crowd.
"Raymond, hello!" The host walked up and extended his hand.
"Hello, Ty," Raymond Ford greeted him warmly.
"Please, have a seat."
Onstage, there was a table and two chairs where the host and the guest took their seats.
The host held a tablet connected to the large screen behind him; all of his questions were loaded onto it.
"As is tradition on our show, Raymond, why don’t you start by introducing yourself?"
"Hello, everyone. My name is Raymond Ford, and I’m truly honored to be on *Face-to-Face with Stars* today."
"Raymond, how would you describe yourself?"
"Hardworking and ambitious. I’m a firm believer in the saying, ’You can’t rely on being one-hundred-percent lucky, but you can always give one-hundred-percent effort!’ I disdain the idea of getting something for nothing or achieving success overnight."
Ty smiled.
’Raymond Ford is clearly taking a jab at someone,’ he thought. ’’Getting something for nothing?’ ’Achieving success overnight?’’
