Chapter 251: Lavish
Her breath was stolen in an instant!
A few minutes later, a phone rang. Hearing the ringtone, Melody Monroe struggled to break free from his embrace. She scrambled to get her phone.
"They’re here. I’m leaving. You wait ten minutes before you come downstairs!"
"Why?"
"Because! Just because!" Melody Monroe stomped her foot in frustration. "Promise me!"
’She was so cute when she pouted.’
’I don’t want her to go. What should I do?’
’What if I just pull her back into the room and tease her some more?’
"Give me one more kiss, and I’ll promise you."
"I really have to go." Melody Monroe immediately ran for the door.
Evan Fairchild suddenly grabbed her, pulled her back, and leaned in close.
"You can’t bite me!" Melody Monroe quickly pushed him away, covering her neck. Thank goodness she was fast enough. Otherwise, he would have left another mark!
The moment she broke free from his arms, she dashed out the door.
"Mr. Fairchild, ten minutes before you come downstairs!"
Evan Fairchild: ...
After getting out of the elevator, Melody Monroe vigorously rubbed her cheeks and took a moment to compose herself before heading to the parking garage.
The moment Talia Mercer and Winter Kane saw Melody Monroe, they immediately waved at her.
"Melody, over here."
Melody Monroe took out the car key, still unsure which car it was for.
But a car like this was a rare sight in this residential complex.
She pressed the key fob, and a sound chirped from a short distance away.
Melody Monroe, Winter Kane, and Talia Mercer all turned to look in the same direction.
All three of them were stunned speechless.
"A Sprinter," Winter Kane was the first to recognize it.
Melody Monroe didn’t know anything about cars; she just thought the vehicle in front of her was huge, probably some kind of touring van. She handed the keys to Winter Kane.
"Melody, did the company provide this car?" Talia Mercer asked, staring at the vehicle. It seemed like the same one Aya Winters drove.
She had heard that just redoing the interior cost several hundred thousand!
"It’s not from the company," Melody Monroe explained softly.
Talia Mercer understood in a flash.
"Warren!"
Winter Kane opened the van door and stared in amazement at the interior. The decor was the epitome of luxury! He was at a loss for words.
The entire interior was wrapped in genuine leather with a pink and white color scheme, giving it a very girly feel. A luxurious crystal light fixture was installed on the ceiling. Pushing open the door revealed a mini-theater, complete with an ultra-thin television mounted above a small bar, which in turn had a small refrigerator underneath it.
There were two leather massage chairs in the front row, and the back row had a sofa-style bench that could be folded down into a sofa bed.
Draped over the back seat was an expensive fur throw.
Melody Monroe and Talia Mercer walked over, and they too were stunned when they saw the interior decor.
"This is way too extravagant!" Talia Mercer couldn’t help but exclaim.
Melody Monroe sat down inside, her mind still blank. ’Did Evan Fairchild buy this car especially for me?’
"So soft, so comfortable! I could sit here forever and never get up!" Talia Mercer sighed in amazement. "Compared to this, Raymond Ford’s car is a piece of junk. And to think he treats it like some kind of treasure!"
"This whole setup, car and all, probably costs no less than five million," Winter Kane said, having some knowledge on the subject.
The cost of the interior decorations alone was likely close to the price of the vehicle itself.
"Warren is so loaded!"
"Winter, is this car a gas-guzzler? How much does it cost to fill the tank? How far can it go on one tank?"
Winter Kane: ...
Talia Mercer: ...
’Why is Melody’s train of thought so different from a normal person’s? How can she be so... one-of-a-kind?’
With her current income, Melody Monroe couldn’t possibly afford to maintain such a car. If she really were to drive it every day, it would be a massive expense!
