This was the first time Melody Monroe had eaten something so late in months. She was simply starving!

A delicate porcelain cup of black tea sat in front of Evan Fairchild. Having not eaten, he only took a few bites.

"Why did you stop eating?"

"I’m full."

Melody Monroe blushed and dusted her hands off. "I’m done eating too. I didn’t get any exercise today, so I’ll get fat if I eat too much."

"Then what do you call the last hour?"

Melody Monroe: ...

"Drink this glass of milk." Evan Fairchild picked up a glass of milk from the table and handed it to Melody Monroe.

Melody Monroe was about to refuse, but the moment she met Evan Fairchild’s gaze, she immediately took the glass.

"It’s such a big glass, I can’t finish it!"

Evan Fairchild took it, drank a few mouthfuls, and handed it back to Melody Monroe. "Finish it."

Melody Monroe took a sip. The milk was still warm, spreading a pleasant warmth through her stomach. But she still couldn’t finish it. She put the glass aside and picked up her phone.

Evan Fairchild snatched her phone and tossed it far away.

"Are you sure you’re not going to drink it?"

"I’ll drink it!" Melody Monroe nodded immediately.

"Tomorrow, I’ll take you to see Caleb White."

"Caleb White?"

"To help with your allergies."

"Oh." Melody Monroe nodded.

...

After finishing her late-night snack, Rose Shaw returned to the hotel. Melody Monroe wasn’t back yet. Perhaps she wouldn’t be coming back tonight.

She opened her laptop and checked the online reactions.

Just as she’d expected, the day’s events had caused a huge stir.

Melody Monroe’s follower count had skyrocketed by five million!

Even Aya Winters and a few other A-list celebrities had started following Melody Monroe. Rose Shaw did a quick search; there was still no negative news to be found.

It seemed she didn’t need to worry at all.

She’d be able to get a good night’s sleep tonight!

She was just about to get up and take a bath when the doorbell rang.

Rose Shaw walked over and opened the door.

Keith Coleman was at the door, leaning against the frame with a rose between his teeth. He was holding a bottle of red wine and two glasses.

Rose Shaw had already had a few drinks and was a little dizzy. The moment she saw Keith Coleman, her stomach started to churn.

"Ugh!" Rose Shaw fought back a wave of nausea.

"Rose, are you not feeling well?"

"What do you want?"

"I was so happy tonight, and I thought, the night is long... I happened to have a bottle of wine, so I figured we could have a few more drinks." Keith Coleman held up the wine glasses.

Rose Shaw recognized the wine. A single bottle cost over ten thousand.

"If you’re trying to hook up with me, then sorry, I’m not interested. Go home. I think I’m going to be sick!"

SLAM! The door was slammed shut.

The rose in Keith Coleman’s mouth was caught in the door, crushed to bits.

Undeterred, he rang the doorbell again.

Rose Shaw yanked the door open and, without a word, threw a punch.

Keith Coleman’s body flew back in a graceful arc. He stumbled a few steps before his head hit the wall, and the thousand-dollar bottle of wine in his hand shattered.

Rose Shaw stepped forward, picked up the broken bottle, and pointed it at Keith Coleman.

Keith Coleman’s eyes followed the bottle down, and his entire body tensed.

’This woman! Is she for real?!’

’She’s so violent!’

"Still want to come in for a couple of drinks?"

"No, I think I’ll just... not disturb you. It’s getting late, you should get some rest. Good night!"

Rose Shaw lowered the bottle, nodding with a smile. She stood up and ruffled her short hair, her movements languid yet alluring. Under Keith Coleman’s watchful gaze, she slowly turned. "Sweet dreams!"

Keith Coleman: ...

’This woman, she’s so damn... captivating!’

...

Melody Monroe and Evan Fairchild walked out of Caleb White’s private villa together.
