Chapter 340: The Shameless Have the Edge
Sure enough, Felix Hughes’s expression soured. He turned to Rose Shaw and asked, "What is he to you?"
"We have nothing to do with each other." Rose Shaw knew Felix Hughes was a very straightforward person who rarely ever joked.
Whatever Keith Coleman said, Felix was bound to get the wrong idea.
Hearing Rose Shaw’s denial, Felix Hughes’s expression softened a little.
Melody Monroe glanced between them. Felix Hughes really was a simple, naive guy. Keith Coleman was just trying to goad him, and she couldn’t believe how well it was working.
’When love rivals face off, the shameless one always has the upper hand.’
"Rose, don’t be so heartless. That night, after you got me drunk..."
Rose Shaw picked up the bowl of white rice in front of Keith Coleman and slammed it right into his face!
The move stunned Melody Monroe and the others.
Keith Coleman didn’t seem angry at all. He simply took the bowl away and started wiping the grains of rice from his face.
Rose Shaw didn’t know why she felt so flustered.
The truth was, they hadn’t done a thing. They weren’t in a relationship—they weren’t even friends. But hearing Keith Coleman say that still made her inexplicably tense.
Keith Coleman had to be doing this on purpose, getting back at her for what she did that night.
She was the one with that video of him, but not only had she failed to threaten him with it, he had completely turned the tables and was now blackmailing her instead.
Once Keith Coleman finished wiping the rice from his face, he looked at Felix Hughes again. "Director Hughes, I’m pursuing Rose. She seems too shy to admit it right now, but I know she has feelings for me."
Melody was speechless.
’I’ve seen shameless people before, but I’ve never seen anyone *this* shameless!’
Sure enough, Felix Hughes’s expression changed instantly, growing even more rigid than before.
He couldn’t believe that Rose Shaw would actually like someone like Keith Coleman.
But Keith Coleman sounded so certain, and that, combined with what had just happened, planted a seed of doubt in his mind.
’Could Rose really like a guy like Keith Coleman?’
’He couldn’t for the life of him figure out how he was any worse than this... this effeminate guy!’
Melody figured Felix Hughes was no match for Keith Coleman, but she also knew Rose would never fall for a guy like that.
Felix Hughes was too furious to speak. He just stared at Rose Shaw, hoping she would explain—that she had nothing to do with Keith Coleman, that she didn’t like him.
He had waited for Rose Shaw for so many years.
There had been no room in his heart for any other woman.
He felt that Rose Shaw’s reappearance in his life was a gift from the heavens. It was their destiny!
But Rose Shaw remained silent.
"Rose Shaw, look at this." Felix Hughes suddenly pulled out his phone. It displayed several photos of Keith Coleman hitting on a pretty girl.
In the photos, Keith Coleman was acting intimately with the girl, even touching her hair.
"Director Hughes, you’re making it sound bad. There was just something in her hair, and I was helping her get it out!"
Felix Hughes swiped to another photo showing Keith Coleman holding the girl’s hand.
"That one’s not what you think, either. Ever heard of a gentleman kissing a lady’s hand?"
"And this one." Felix Hughes swiped to yet another photo.
Keith Coleman rolled his eyes. "Director Hughes, you have some real paparazzi potential. I only spoke to three women all day, and you managed to get photos of every single one."
"He hit on three different women in a single day," Felix Hughes said to Rose Shaw.
His tone was dead serious!
Melody couldn’t help but laugh at his endearingly earnest expression. That was a brilliant counterattack!
’Oh, Keith Coleman, Keith Coleman. That’s what you get for being a player!’
