Chapter 180: The Minds of the Rich Are Truly Hard to Fathom
Eve Scott picked it up and took a look. "I know this company. They also focus on a floral series of personal care products, but their brand recognition isn’t quite there yet. They’ve even used a direct-selling marketing model before. Their product quality, however, is pretty decent. In this industry, they’re considered a conscientious brand."
"I’ve already had Tommy prepare the acquisition proposal. Within half a month, Greenleaf will be merged into Bloomwell, and their new products will be integrated into Bloomwell’s research and development department."
Eve Scott was taken aback. "O-Okay."
"I will send someone to Bloomwell to serve as the marketing director. You will still be in charge of the company’s R&D department and internal management. I don’t want the news of me acquiring Bloomwell to get out."
"I understand." Eve Scott nodded immediately. "Is there anything else, President Fairchild?"
"If anything comes up, contact Tommy directly."
"Understood."
After leaving Evan Fairchild’s office, Eve Scott still couldn’t figure it out. ’Why would someone like Evan Fairchild be interested in a small company like mine, and even value it so highly?’
’The minds of the rich are truly unfathomable.’
...
「Half a month passed in a flash.」
The film crew was rushing to shoot their scenes every day.
Today was the day Tiana Gable’s scenes wrapped.
It also happened to be her birthday.
The crew ordered a cake and celebrated with her.
"Tiana, make a wish!"
Tiana Gable stood before the cake, her hands clasped together. "I hope *Warm Wind Blowing North* is a huge hit!"
"It’s definitely going to be a huge hit!"
"That’s right! With Director Wallace, Mr. Langdon, all the main actors, all the seniors, and all the hardworking staff, it would be a crime if this show isn’t a hit!"
"Come on, time to cut the cake!"
Tiana Gable made the first cut, picked up a slice of cake, and walked toward Melody Monroe.
Melody Monroe didn’t like joining in on the festivities. You’d never find her in the middle of a crowd.
"Melody, have some cake."
"Thanks. You didn’t have to bring a slice over just for me."
"I wanted to share my birthday cake with you."
Even though they were on the same film set and from the same company, Tiana Gable had barely exchanged a few words with Raymond Ford outside of filming. Instead, she often sought out Melody Monroe, who seemed aloof and difficult to approach.
"I haven’t had cake in ages! Perfect timing for me to show up!" Jasper Rockwell said, walking toward Melody Monroe with a slice of cake.
"I haven’t seen you for days. Where have you been?"
"I went to a car race."
’No wonder,’ Melody Monroe thought. ’Jasper Rockwell’s job is way too easy. Even though he’s Mr. Langdon’s assistant, he doesn’t do a lick of work all day.’
Whenever Jasper Rockwell was on set, not only did Nola Hughes’s job not get any easier, but she also ended up with another ’master’ to wait on.
Zane Langdon also walked over, holding a slice of cake.
"Mr. Langdon, I’m so sorry, I didn’t even get you a slice of cake." Tiana Gable was a little embarrassed that she had actually forgotten about Zane Langdon.
"I got one myself." Zane Langdon smiled, then glanced at the slice in Melody Monroe’s hand. "Do you eat the frosting?"
"I can’t eat that much." Melody Monroe quickly shook her head.
Zane Langdon walked over and used his fork to scrape the frosting off.
Jasper Rockwell secretly took out his phone and snapped a picture. Just as he put it down, his hand felt a new weight. Zane Langdon had dumped all the frosting he just scraped off onto his cake.
"Zane Langdon! You’ve gone too far!"
"It’s sweet. Your favorite!"
"I..." Jasper Rockwell stared at the mountain of frosting piled on his plate. "Are you sure this won’t be sickeningly sweet?"
"It won’t be too rich. It’s whipped cream," Tiana Gable said with a laugh, still feeling a little sorry for Jasper Rockwell.
’I’ve never seen a grown man who loves sweets so much.’
