Chapter 262: Oh No, It’s That Heart-Fluttering Feeling
Once all the dishes were cooked, the two of them started fighting over the food again.
Melody Monroe watched them, feeling completely helpless.
After dinner, the father and son did the dishes as usual, while Melody Monroe went to tidy up the house.
’If only life could go on like this.’
’How wonderful it would be to live like this forever.’
...
「Wednesday afternoon, 3 PM. Banke Cafe.」
Rose Shaw was already seated at a table by the window. She had arrived fifteen minutes early.
She had ordered an iced Americano and was waiting for Keith Coleman.
The cafe was nearly empty at this hour. Delicate piano music filled the air, and sitting there felt as if time itself had slowed down.
Rose Shaw wore a white suit vest with matching white, wide-leg trousers—a very chic outfit.
Her short hair gave her a sharp, competent look.
Her features were exquisite—the delicate, lovely kind. Yet, she projected a powerful aura that completely overshadowed that fragility.
A bold, queen-red lipstick was Rose Shaw’s signature color.
When Keith Coleman arrived at the cafe’s entrance, he immediately spotted Rose Shaw sitting by the window.
Just then, Rose Shaw looked up.
Their eyes met.
Rose Shaw’s brow furrowed slightly.
’Keith Coleman?’
’Is that a man or a woman?’
"Rose... no, *Rose*," Keith Coleman said as he walked over and sat down across from her.
Rose Shaw’s frown deepened.
’My first impression of Keith Coleman: flamboyantly gay.’
Keith Coleman sized up Rose Shaw. She was completely different from her photos.
’Who knew she’d be such a petite, lovely young woman!’
’He was taking it all back—every single negative thing he’d ever thought about Rose Shaw!’
Keith Coleman’s first impression of Rose Shaw sent his heart aflutter.
"I didn’t know what you like to drink, so I didn’t order for you."
"I’ll have the same as you," Keith Coleman said immediately.
"It seems you’re quite experienced with managing fanbases. Have you had a role in this area before?"
"I kicked around a small film and television company abroad and even worked as someone’s agent. I guess you could say we’re in the same line of work."
"That’s even better. It means there’s a lot I won’t have to explain. Do you have any requirements?"
"I don’t have any."
’Even from this brief exchange, Rose Shaw could tell Keith Coleman had hidden depths. It was impossible to get a true read on him from just one meeting. She would have to wait and get to know him over time.’
"I’m a huge fan of Melody Monroe. She’s my idol. It would be my honor to work for her."
"Do you currently have another full-time job?"
"No. I’m used to a more laid-back lifestyle and can’t stand corporate rules and restrictions. If you’re thinking of having me join Stellaris, Rose, or giving me some official position, then forget it. I only want to work for Melody Monroe."
"If you don’t want to join Stellaris, Melody Monroe could hire you personally. That way, you’d have no official connection to the company. I’ll have to discuss it with Melody, of course. As for compensation, do you have any requirements?"
"I don’t have any requirements."
"In that case, wait for me to get back to you. I’ll give you an answer as soon as possible. I’ve already paid the bill, so take your time. I’ll be leaving now."
"Rose, why don’t we have dinner together tonight? My treat."
"Sorry, I’m not free."
"What about tomorrow?"
"I’m not free then, either," Rose Shaw rejected him again.
"Then when are you free? I’m available anytime."
"I’m never free."
After Rose Shaw left, Keith Coleman took out his phone, opened the camera app, and looked at himself.
"I’m this handsome. How is it possible I can’t even get her to agree to one meal?"
He put down his phone, clutching his chest.
’Oh no. That look she gave me... what do I do? I think my heart just skipped a beat.’
