Chapter 321: This Time, Dead for Good
Once the contract is signed tomorrow, there’ll be no turning back!
"Keith, don’t worry. If Felix Hughes still won’t agree, I’ll play hardball and show him what’s what!"
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
Keith Coleman went to open the door.
Rose Shaw was leaning against the doorway, wearing a burgundy dress.
"Are you free?"
"Yes!"
"Keith?" The person on the other end of the line was taken aback, unsure what Keith Coleman meant.
"Just wait for my word, and don’t do anything stupid!" Keith Coleman said before hanging up. His eyes traveled over Rose Shaw. "Rose, what brings you here?"
"I was just bored and lonely, looking for some company."
"Then you’ve come to the right place. You’ll never be bored with me! In fact, it could be very... interesting."
"Is that so?" Rose Shaw smiled and walked into the room, tossing her purse onto the sofa. "Didn’t you say you have a lot of wine here? I’ve come to bum a couple of drinks."
"I have all the wine you could want." Keith Coleman sat down beside Rose Shaw. "I just wonder how well you hold your liquor. It can be very dangerous for a little white rabbit to get drunk in the big bad wolf’s den."
Rose Shaw laughed, leaning back on the sofa and propping her head up with a hand. "Well, go get the wine."
Keith Coleman immediately went to a nearby cabinet and returned with four bottles of red wine. He then quickly grabbed a bucket of ice from the mini-fridge.
Rose Shaw placed the bottles in the ice bucket as Keith Coleman approached with wine glasses.
"It’s just the two of us. What do we need glasses for?"
Keith Coleman was speechless.
"Whatever Rose says, goes." Keith Coleman turned and put the glasses away.
"Who were you on the phone with just now?"
"No one important. Just a friend."
"Keith Coleman, with President Fairchild ’blacklisting’ Melody like this... Melody doesn’t know yet, but what do you think will happen when she finds out?"
Keith Coleman’s words caught in his throat.
"You’ve already gone to see Felix Hughes, haven’t you?"
Again, Keith Coleman was at a loss for words.
Rose Shaw had beautiful almond-shaped eyes—the alluring but not vulgar type. Today, she wore exquisite eye makeup that made her look both delicate and bewitching.
A single glance from her was enough to make Keith Coleman’s legs go weak and his heart melt.
Rose Shaw opened the wine, handed a bottle to Keith Coleman, and lightly clinked the rim of her bottle against his.
In the blink of an eye, a third of the red wine in her bottle was gone.
Keith Coleman stared in disbelief.
’I can’t look like a wimp!’ He raised the bottle and started chugging.
It was as if they were locked in a competition, neither one stopping.
A minute later, Rose Shaw slammed her bottle down on the table. It was empty!
Keith Coleman immediately picked up his pace and polished off his own bottle!
’Rose Shaw! What a wild one!’
’So defiant and untamable!’
Keith Coleman’s blood was pumping with excitement.
He leaned in toward Rose Shaw, his eyes fixed on her sexy, red lips.
Rose Shaw sent him reeling with a slap. "What are you looking at!"
Keith Coleman suddenly grabbed Rose Shaw’s wrist and shot back up.
Rose Shaw looked up at Keith Coleman. ’How is this pretty boy so strong?’ She lifted a knee, and since Keith Coleman was completely unprepared, he let out a miserable HOWL of pain!
Seeing Keith Coleman’s face go pale with pain, Rose Shaw felt a little awkward. She picked up a bottle and started drinking by herself.
Keith Coleman used the sofa to pull himself up from the floor. Unwilling to admit defeat, he opened another bottle and started drinking too.
"This time, if Melody gets forced out and doesn’t get signed to this show... I can’t say what will happen to your President Fairchild, but I guarantee his life will become miserable."
"And if Melody does get signed, my life will be even more miserable!"
"Since you’ll be miserable either way, what’s the difference? But if you dare lay a finger on Felix Hughes, I won’t spare you!"
