Lesson 14: Return

To help Ashley suffer from Hydra's poison, Ray challenges poisoning with water attribute magic.

(Turn off the poison... Have the poison ingredients in your blood purified by the water spirits... It's difficult to imagine purification... How about having the poison ingredients broken down to harmless ingredients? Will I have enough magic...... no, I'll do it even if I fall!

He imagines gathering water spirits in his left hand, where the power of the spirits has accumulated, placing his left hand on Ashley's right foot.

Blue light flows into her body from her left hand, and something can be seen to be happening.

He takes off the rope that tied the base of her right leg and moves his left hand further around her entire body.

As she continued to hang her magic for about a minute, her expression distorted in agony felt slightly loose.

He kept hanging his magic until he was out of magic. After that, he was watching her.

(Better than just now, I got an easy-looking look, but I can't tell if the poison has disappeared. If you go to the city of Morton, you have a healer or a healer. Even if you don't return to consciousness, it could be life-threatening if you don't take me home...)

He decided to see how things were going for ten minutes. In the meantime I decided to retrieve Hydra's Demonic Crystal Stone.

He puts his hand on Hydra's torso and takes out the Demonic Crystal Stone as his body flutters as he begins to develop symptoms of a loss of magic. Then, about five cm of water colored demonic crystal stone appeared.

"Big. Exactly that much strength makes it so big..."

Seeing that magic crystal stone, I accidentally put it in my mouth. And now, remembering the death fight with Hydra,

(It was dangerous earlier. I didn't panic like I did when I was a Lizardman, but this is because Ashley was there for me. If I were alone... I could have died...)

He gives a frightened look for a moment at the fear of death that resurrects rapidly, but immediately tightens his expression.

(It's all right. I could beat that mighty enemy, Hydra. You can be confident...... but I can't untie Ashley getting caught. If it was her move, I don't think she would have gotten caught unless there was an incident...)

I collect the Demonic Crystal Stone, pack my bags, and watch Ashley, but never wake up.

He could be hitting himself in the head when he was slammed to the ground, and he gets confused about deciding if it's okay to move inadvertently, but if he doesn't go and reveal the night here like this, he's determined to go back to the city.

Store the luggage for two. Put it in the magic "Item Box" and bear it so that she sits on the spear unconscious.

Fortunately, all the luggage went into the item box, so there was no need to give up.

To reduce his weight, he worried about removing her armor, but thought about moving as quickly as possible and getting attacked by demons along the way, carrying her as he was, and started walking in the woods.

The time was after 2 p.m., carrying a large ashley, he whipped his fluttering body out of magic and proceeded through the woods.

(Don't come out with anything. In this situation, even Miscellaneous Fish Monsters can't handle it...)

Through the shores of Lake Turbide and into the hilly forests.

Under cloudy skies, with the cooler winds of April, but just about every person traveling on their back, it's pretty tight.

The safe streets are about four or five kilometers from the lake. It took about an hour and finally proceeded for about a km, but due to fatigue and arm paralysis I decided to take a break.

Sit down to bring to the big tree and prepare a rough breath.

Ashley, who let him sit beside him, still has no sign of a return to consciousness, and only his desire to take him back to the city becomes stronger and more impatient.

(It's about 3 o'clock now...... the city is still far away. The gate is open until 8pm, but can we reach it by then... Ashley needs to show it to the therapist sooner than that...)

After a break about enough, he carries her back again and walks through the woods.

Occasionally, I can hear the beast roaring, but so far, I don't feel it approaching.

I sometimes take a break and travel for another two hours, but I still can't get out of the woods.

Around after 5pm, perhaps, the deep woods have already begun to envelop me in darkness, and my feet have become unbearable.

(Awkward. I can figure out a way, but it'll be dark in less than half an hour. You won't be able to walk when that happens...... still, nearly half the distance should be left. What to do......)

Due to the scheduled day trip, I do not have the lighting and my hands are blocked, so I cannot even light the pine lights.

The danger of walking in the dark, which did not work at night, could easily be imagined by beginners like him.

(Magic in Trouble...... I guess light is easy to make with light attribute magic, but wouldn't that call for demons? Sometimes it means adding a dark vision capability in a system that improves physical ability...)

He wondered if he could grant himself a dark vision capability in order to reduce the risk.

The image is a starlight scope, which is about amplifying weak light, but I can't think of a safe way to impart that ability directly to my eyes.

(If it's also a goggle, I can grant it... I'm a little scared to modify my own eyes. Thinking about when it fails, I can't try it now)

In his way of flying balls of light, he decided to secure the lights.

The image is a human soul. When he thinks of it, two balls of light appear. He adjusted to fly near his feet and beyond, and started walking again.

Another hour.

I was already completely surrounded by darkness. Because it is inhibited by thick clouds of cloudy weather, there is no moon in the sky, and without balls of light, almost nothing can be seen.

His health was also nearing its limit, and although he only used it marginally, because of the magic of the ball of light, his magic was also nearing its limit.

Gradually slower walking speeds add to his impatience.

I'm also concerned about Ashley's condition, which still doesn't wake up, but her breath was regular, and that was the only reassuring material.

(If we don't get to the city soon...... while Ashley's condition is stable...... how much longer...)

His sense of time had created quite a bit of madness because of his darkness and fatigue.

Even though he thought he had walked for an hour, that was thirty minutes, or even twenty if he thought he had only had enough breaks, he had not earned more distance than he thought.

(If I hadn't met Ashley when I came to this world, I wouldn't know what would have happened by now. I don't care if I don't get to the city at all to return the favor... or anything. I don't want her to die. Absolutely...)

He whips at his tired body and walks further.

I can't even tell how long I've walked in this direction, really.

If, at this time, they had just been attacked by demons, beasts, or, no, wild dogs, the two of them would have scattered their lives.

By then, his wear and tear had been intense.

As it turned out, he walked in the right direction.

Slightly up ahead, I'm starting to see the lights snugly.

When he found the light, he walked even faster.

(Good... it's the city of Morton. Just a little more, just a little more...)

As we approached, the light was still definitely from the city of Morton, and the first thing we saw seemed to be the light from the baron's mansion.

(A little more, about five hundred meters. Before the gate closes... Quickly...)

He advances his legs like he runs. But it's just his thoughts, and his tired body doesn't respond to his thoughts.

7: 30pm.

He finally reached the main entrance, which was empty only at the general gate.

The guard guarding the gate, to the state of the shitty ray,

"Are you all right? Show me the orb. I'll call someone when I know. Hey, can you hear me?"

When Ray shows his orb and Ashley's orb to the guard,

"Ha ha. Chi, I want to take you to the therapist, chi, where should I go?

Hearing that in a tired voice with mixed rough breaths, the guard told me that near the Adventurer's Guild, there was a therapist's office.

Hearing that, he immediately begins walking towards the south district where the guild is located.

Back there was a guard, screaming something, but he didn't hear the words.

Burt Flecker, a Morton guard, was hitting the front gate guard this day.

Today's shift is late and ends with an 8 p.m. closing, but the odd man came running in half an hour before closing, so I changed my plans.

At first, when the man was seen, he could only be seen wearing white armor, using the magic of a strange light that illuminated his feet.

As I slowly approached him, I could see him carrying someone, holding a spear in his rear hand.

He told the crap about it,

"Are you all right? Show me the orb. I'll call someone when I know. Hey, can you hear me?"

and call out. The man shows the orb, in a hurry, but in a polite tone,

"Ha ha. Chi, I want to take you to the therapist, chi, where should I go?

Because I've heard it in a rough breath.

"Don't know the branch of the Adventurer Guild. If you go about fifty meters behind it, there is a clinic run by an elf named Estelle Binisti. It may already be closed, but I'll follow you. Wait a minute."

He saw that the lady mercenary on his back was Ashley Markat, who had previously served as an escort for the Baron (Master Miyagi), and wanted to tell his colleagues what was going on and accompany him.

But the man in that white armor walks straight towards the Flirty and South District without even listening.

"Wait! I'm coming with you..."

I had no choice but to say, "I'm sorry. I'll go after him, please," he tells his colleagues, running after the man.

As soon as I caught up with him, I quickly headed to the clinic, lending the man a hand.

Ray was moving his legs desperately to make Ashley look like a therapist, even as soon as every minute of it, towards where he heard at the main entrance.

A guard who was at the gate from behind comes after me, but he also didn't turn around, saying he should have confirmed the orb.

"We finally caught up. I'm Bart. I'll show you around, follow me. You, can you still walk?

The guard is a human man about thirty years ago, in a mild tone, but seriously worried about Ray.

"It's okay. Ha ha. quickly, to the therapist…"

"It doesn't feel okay... but okay. Over here."

They got behind the guild branch, and finally, they arrived at the clinic.

As Bart said, the clinic was already closed.

Burt says, "Wait here for a minute," then heads towards the back door.

With a stiff thought, after waiting a minute or two, I finally saw the opening of the entrance, a young woman standing next to Bart - a woman with an elf-like trait.

The woman - Estelle Binisti - realizes something is wrong with Ashley and urges her to enter the clinic immediately.

"I don't know what happened, but get in there right away!

In the clinic, it was not an atmosphere such as a Japanese hospital, but just a qualitative construction of a clinic with three waiting rooms and a therapeutic bed.

Estelle starts getting ready for treatment as soon as she gives Ray instructions to put Ashley to sleep in one of the beds.

And as he moves his hand, he asks Ray what happened.

"What happened? It doesn't seem like it's just an injury... poison? What poison could that be?

Ray held his rough breath still,

"Hydra bit me. I'm also hitting my head...... please help me......"

"Hydra!? When! When did he bite you!

Estelle hears of Hydra and the tone turns into a rushed object.

"It's after noon. After lunch on Lake Turbide..."

"After lunch... maybe it's too late... yeah? Did you get any treatment?

Despair spreads through the rays to the word "too late”.

Estelle wondered if it was already too late because too much time had passed, but because Ashley's complexion wasn't any worse than she thought, she thought she had done something about it.

"I sucked out the poison and gave him a drink of the poison I had. For once, I also tried to hang the magic of poisoning, but I haven't used it for the first time, and I don't know if it works..."

"The magic of poisoning? Are you a healer, too? That's fine. I'll try the magic of” detoxification ”. You seem tired, so lie down there. Bert, thank you for your hard work."

She casts a magical spell of detoxification as she looks at Ashley.

Gradually a blue and green light gathers in her right hand and puts that hand against Ashley's chest.

Ray looked at how it was going.

(Are you okay... he said it was too late...)

When I hold hands for about two or thirty seconds, it looks like Ashley's complexion has increased slightly from earthy to reddish.

He was only a little relieved by the way it was going, but couldn't help but look away until he heard the diagnostic results this elf woman would give.

"I think he managed to take his life."

Ray feels stuck in the words all at once.

"Thank you. Really... Ugh, thanks..."

As he enters, his words of gratitude make him unable to stop crying over the fact that Ashley was helped.

Estelle looks at the figure and wonders, "What's the relationship between these two?" and sees Bert lying down, but he doesn't seem to know either, shaking his head sideways, "Come on.”

More than that, I couldn't help but say a word about the recklessness that challenged a powerful demon named Hydra.

"But what an unscrupulous thing to deal with Hydra... without that or a dedicated venom, it's like going to die"

"Hiku, I was suddenly attacked. Oh, I didn't have that information..."

Crying, Ray tells Estelle and Bart about what happened today.

I was surprised to hear about the two of us knocking down Hydra, but even more incomplete but I came up with the magic of poisoning, and I was even in awe of him for walking as far as five km with each person carrying me through the woods.

Estelle is actually a veteran healer over a hundred years old, although she looks in her mid-twenties because of her long-lived species of elves.

Because she has lived in this city of Morton for a long time, she has been associated with adventurers and mercenaries, and was confident that her general strength would be discernible.

But I had no idea what a man in white armor was capable of crying in front of me.

(If what you're saying is true, it's amazing. Without the help of a magician, just two of us can defeat Hydra and, on top of that, purify the poison of the fiercely poisonous Hydra... even if I don't have the help of the herb, no, I wouldn't have been able to bring myself back this far. But if it's true...)

"I'll keep this guy here. Come back tomorrow morning."

Ray asks her, "Shouldn't I be here,"

"You're about to run out of magic, aren't you? Rest in the Inn."

He nodded reluctantly and stood up saying "thank you".

Bert, who was watching beside him,

(If what we're talking about is true, isn't Theron's guy biting one? But we didn't even hear from the guards about Hydra. How did you get that information? Fine. I hate Theron, but I don't have any proof. If he tried to fit these guys in, you'd be surprised)

Burt lent his shoulder to Flirting Ray,

"Let's take you to the inn. But well done. Because of your hard work, Ashley survived. Get some rest today."

Ray lends his shoulder to me. After thanking Bart,

"Mr. Burt, could you not tell anyone about Hydra for the time being? Thanks, I feel like I've been set up by some of our bad people..."

Bart was surprised by the words, "Okay. I won't tell anyone. I'll tell Estelle that, too," I promised.

Back at the inn, Bianca, the worried general, called out.

"Ray, are you okay? What about Ashley?"

Instead of tired Ray, Bart said,

"Ashley is at Estelle's clinic. Looks like he fought the big guy. I'm pretty tired from carrying Ashley back to the city. Take him to his room."

Ray went back to his room on the third floor, borrowing his shoulders from his husband Lester and Bianca.

Bart, thinking about Ray,

(You're an interesting guy. I fought a death battle with Hydra, but I'm not bragging about one. Plus, I'm seriously worried about the woman Ashley. If Theron's guy is chewing, he might be just fine to blow a bubble...)
