Trinitas Mundus

Episode XV: Charges

Ashley, who had been unconscious since she was on her way to battle with Hydra, was surprised to wake up with her eyes in a strange bed.

"What is this place? Where's Ray? Where's Ray!

As she was about to panic, Estelle, the healer, spoke to her as she tried to get up.

"Are you okay? You can't get up suddenly. After he brought you here, he sent you back to the inn. He was sick, but he was tired too..."

She just woke up, not yet able to grasp the situation, shaking her head.

"Hy, what happened to Hydra... did you help... here? What time is it?

"Oh, they've managed to take him down. You were bitten by hydra, and the poison turned and you lost consciousness. It's about 6: 00 in the morning."

Still unclear on her head, she recognizes what Estelle, a healer, looks like and finally understands that she was helped.

"Estelle? How did you get so far..."

"Could it have been you, Ray? He poisoned you, and then he used the magic of detoxification. I brought you from Lake Turbide with me on my back because it's still dangerous."

"Bear it alone, that distance... apparently Ray helped me again..."

Finally swallowed up the situation, Ashley asks Estelle one question after another.

Although Estelle answers to the best of her knowledge,

"I don't know the details. I think you'll be here soon, Ray, so ask him the rest."

So I went back to my job.

The next morning, later than usual - at 7: 00 a.m. - Ray wakes up, but I didn't recall coming back to the inn last night.

I remember as far as Lester and Bianca brought me into the room, because I lost consciousness as soon as I fell into bed.

(Ugh, terrible muscle ache. Plus, I'm still heavy on my head. That just seemed like the limit of my strength and magic... thanks to the owner of this body working out but it was really hard yesterday... and I'm so hungry...)

Ray headed to the dining room for breakfast.

In the dining room, Bianca said, "Are you okay to wake up now? I'll keep it for breakfast," Lester said worryingly, watching in silence.

He's thankful for yesterday, he starts eating breakfast.

(Is Ashley okay? Yesterday's healer elf, Mr. Estelle? Mr. Estelle said it was okay, but we should go to the clinic as soon as we had breakfast)

Immediately after eating, we head to Estelle's clinic.

Along the way, he was thinking about yesterday.

(I wonder why Hydra came out? If there's any danger, Ashley should know. The frogs moved strangely, too. Yes, from before and after the Therons showed up... and there's the guy who punched the magic of fire into that island. I guess this has something to do with it too...)

One hypothesis comes to my mind, but I decided not to think about it now because of the lack of evidence and the fact that I have to check with Ashley.

When I got to the clinic, Estelle picked me up,

"She's already awake. I'm not in the mood yet, but it's okay to walk."

He bowed his head and hurried under Ashley.

She turned to the window and sat back on the bed. Her appearance from the side is not as full of confidence as usual, and she also feels somewhat frivolous.

He said, "Good morning. You okay to wake up?" and try to speak up brightly.

When she turned to him, she kept her head down, "I'm sorry," she said.

"I had my guard down yesterday. Just hunting a giant frog (Giant Toad) … I missed the basics of gathering information about hydra. Yet you take me..."

It was unusual for her, and at the end of the day, she had a disappearing voice.

As Ray encourages her,

"But it was good. I was in the middle of something for a while. And I've got all my stuff, so don't worry..."

so that she could wear the words,

"Thank you. This is the second time you've saved my life. This grace..."

He blocked the word,

"Hey, Ashley. Thanks for your help, and let's stop borrowing. Not really, I don't want to get along with saying that. I failed when I was a Lizardman, too. You're the one who helped me with that... and more than that, maybe you were willing to die yesterday. I don't think Hydra would have caught me in the usual Ashley move."

She lays her eyes down and confesses quietly.

"Yeah, at that time, I was helpless, but I thought I had to let only Ray get away with it at all costs. I didn't know that would bother you the other way around..."

"I told you I'd do it with you, but you don't have it. Sure, I'm not old enough to be trusted yet. Even if you trust me a little... No, from now on, I'm gonna be strong enough for Ashley to stop thinking that. And keep up the good work..."

Somehow when I say that in the light, I turn my back on her.

And when you turn around again,

"Let's slow down until we're back in shape. Unless you have to hurry up and accomplish something, or you can take a relaxing stroll around the city like you did during this time. Not today, though."

to his words. She said,

(That might be good too. Mercenaries, adventurers, I kept fighting. Maybe it's some kind of revelation that I met Ray. but......)

"Right. But we should make sure we drop this one. Whatever you think, the Therons must be chewing one."

"Right. But what's the proof? There's no evidence that the boats I saw were on board with the Therons, and there's a chance the frogs might say they made a scene on their way home."

"Ugh, that's hard to say... but the information that Hydra is going out to Lake Turbide, etc. should have at least not grabbed the Adventurer Guild. Get it somewhere and use it in anticipation of when we get the frog exorcised..."

"There is no motive for Cylon to kill us. Even if I did, I wouldn't take that kind of direct method because it's a bad way to orb it?

Even though he said so, he suspected the Therons.

However, due to the lack of physical evidence and the fact that the motive was not visible, he thought that he could not even make the accusation.

(If this keeps him from doing this, I'm not going to do this in particular. But, yeah, people of that character must definitely come something. I'd like to hit the lead if possible and let the borough out......)

Although Ashley was also convinced of the word, she was wondering if there was any way to do something about it.

"The guild needs to report. Director Solow is a trustworthy man. I think we should talk about Ray to some extent, what do you think?"

He thinks it's a good idea to be informed about himself, but I thought I'd bet on the story that she said she could be trusted.

"Okay. We need to talk about knocking Hydra down, and if you can just keep it on the branch manager's chest and put it away, that's better. And if Ashley says she can be trusted, so can I."

After that, as he changed the subject,

"Whatever. If you can walk, let's go report to the guild. I want to know how much Hydra's crystal stone will cost."

When I said that, Ashley said,

"By the way, did you get to the level? Defeat Hydra and it should go up considerably..."

With that said, I'll also check my level.

(Level 42? You're up two. I thought it was time to go up to forty-one, but I went up two at once... since I went from level six to eight when I was a kid. You really beat Hydra...)

Meanwhile, Ray was also checking his level.

(Level twenty? Seven are up...... I did use magic and spears, but is it something that goes up so much? Is this a common soldier? Does this unusually quick leveling have anything to do with being flown into this world? Maybe a "cheat” called growing strength...)

"The level was up to twenty. seven at once," he said shyly,

She thought it was possible because she had two levels up, so she laughed and made a bewildered look, "Twenty or... that's insane to make."

"Hey, normally, at this level, how long does it take to get one up?

When he hears with a slightly more serious look,

"Right. I honestly don't know about adventurers, but mercenaries sometimes go up two in a single battle. But I've never heard of three or more going up at once. Normally it should take three months for three levels to go up in action and a fair amount of fierce battle."

"Does that mean you've leveled six months at once, including in action... you can't really tell people"

"Right. If you do something too unscrupulous, they'll certify you as an outsider from around Miss Ethel. I'm just kidding."

Did she feel a little easier, joked uncommonly, and laughed.

Estelle heard the laugh and came into the hospital room.

"You're perfectly well already. After all, Ray, maybe you're the best medicine? Yes, the cost of treatment is 50 C (krona) per half gold coin. Don't forget it any time."

The treatment of this world can be divided into curative magic and medication. Few can use healing magic, and the medicinal herbs are harvested by adventurers, making any method more expensive.

The amount of 50C = 50,000 yen charged by Estelle is also quite cheap for the detoxification of a very powerful poison called Hydra's Poison, and I can't complain if they say five of its ten times gold coins if it's normal.

Naturally, there is no health insurance system in this world, so it is a full burden and the general public rarely receives treatment.

After paying for the treatment, it was just around the corner, so I decided to head to the guild.

Sometimes it's 9: 00 a.m., and it's relatively idle in the guild.

Seems even less than usual, especially since some forecasts say the weather will collapse today.

The two first report the completion of their request to crusade the giant frog Giant Toad.

It is a reward of 15C per person, combined with three Demonic Crystals, and is rewarded with 60C.

He then applied to see the Branch Manager in order to make a report on Hydra.

"Yesterday, I ran into Hydra on Lake Turbide. I would like to report the matter to the Branch Manager..."

After a while, they pass through to the branch manager's office.

Inside were fifty sharp eyed men sitting in a chair waiting.

He was a former third-degree adventurer named Yuan Solow, who retired a few years ago for injuries and was the branch manager here in Morton.

"He said Hydra was out. Is that Lake Turbide too... that report hasn't come to the Alliance. Lake Turbide shall be designated as a hazardous area…"

Solow Branch Manager squeaks so as he opens his eyes thinly and looks at them staring at them.

Ray gave that look,

(You look like someone with “that muscle” and you're scared. They're going to yell at me when I talk to them on my own...)

When Ray is atrophied by the look of a branch manager, Ashley begins her conversation with dignity.

"The designation of hazardous areas is not required. I'm here because Ray knocked me down."

to the words. The Branch Manager opened his eyes cuddly,

"Well, do you have proof? Show me the crystal stone."

He takes a large water-coloured demonic crystal stone out of his hip skin bag, as he vibrates.

"This is Hydra's Demonic Crystal Stone. Go ahead..."

Placing the Demonic Crystal on your desk quickly pulls your hand away. It's like pulling your hand so the animal doesn't bite you.

The branch manager glared further at the figure, and Ashley smiled funny on the side.

The Branch Manager took its demonic crystal stone and looked at it with a lot of

"You're definitely a third level Demon Crystal Stone. Water colour. Class III of the water attribute, around here, definitely in hydra. I'll appraise you later, but I don't see any mistake in your report. You two knocked him out."

When Ray answered that question, "We both defeated..." Ashley said,

"Ray almost knocked it down by himself. 'Cause I was a fool."

The branch manager laughed niggardly,

"Well, during this time, you must have been a registered rookie, but did you defeat Hydra? What are you hiding?

After declining to wish without further ado, she tells the story of Ray's help to the Baron and the weapons he possesses, Albumcorne and Nixwestis. And when he told the story of being free to handle magic, the Branch Manager's expression gradually hardened.

And when we talk about Theron, his expression gets even harder.

"I'll listen to that as just a story here. Certainly there is no evidence that the Therons have done anything. Even if we look into the orb, we need solid evidence."

They still look like they say, but what they regret gives them a bitter look.

"Let me keep Hydra's Demon Crystal Stone for now. I'll follow up with the pick-up price, but is there a problem?"

The two look at each other and then nod.

The interview with the branch manager was also over, and the two tried to follow the guild, but the Therons were waiting in the waiting space.

"Sounds like something went wrong."

When Theron said that with a laugh, Ashley was about to say something, shaking in anger. Ray held it down with his hand,

"No, I let you earn it. Thanks to you, I had a good look."

When Ray said that with a laugh, Theron said to hate,

"Well, I heard you rushed in when you closed the door full of creativity. You're not making a lot of money, are you?

"Isn't that a mistake? The giant frog (Giant Toad) is supposed to be full of creativity. Lake Turbide is now overflowing with frogs, so there are fewer monsters on land, too. By the way, who did you ask, such a dem?

"... those are the guards. We were talking about it in the tavern, so I overheard it. He said he fought Hydra or something. How did you get away with this?

(All right, here we go! I'll put some more in place... I should be better at playing with words...)

"Is it Hydra... such a dem? Do you have a guard? By the way, you left early yesterday. You must have earned quite a bit."

"Yeah, he did say hydra. I don't care about us. Hunt as much as you want. I left because I was tired. That's all."

"Sure, after lunch yesterday, I thought he said," We made enough money, so we're going home. "Hey, can you get the branch manager to come?

He heard the word "hydra" which Cylon casually said and was convinced that it was what Cylon had set up this time.

And to press charges in the guild, he sent me to get the branch manager.

Immediately, the Branch Manager showed up and asked, "What is it?"

Ray is

"Mr. Theron says weird things. That we fought Hydra. That's what the guards told me. They said they heard it in the tavern."

"What's wrong with that? We go to the liquor store where the guards come and go all the time. They have a big voice, so they hear a lot of stories."

Still, it was a cylon with an extra look, but I lose that extra time with Ray's next word.

"I did get help from the guards yesterday. But that person escorted me to the inn, so I shouldn't have had time to go to the tavern. Besides, there are only three people, including the branch manager, who know they fought Hydra. I'm stopping you from talking to all of them. How do you know? Another thing, after lunch yesterday, he said," I've got enough frogs. "How many have you got? If you're a fourth-level Mr. Theron, you must be stalling ten or twenty. Tell me."

Theron finally realizes he's lost his word.

And thinking about how to cut through it.

"Isn't it a mistake to say you didn't tell the guards? I did hear that. And no matter how many demons we take down, it's not what you know."

"Really? Branch manager, can I have the guard check it out? Reason..."

He cut the words here, staring at Theron, turning up his voice and charging him.

"I charge Theron the Quaternary Adventurer with violating the obligations of the Adventurer Guild, murdering his fellow Adventurer, and concealing the information he needs! As I told you earlier about my concerns about them. Branch Manager"

In the guild, for a moment, scenes and quiet back.

And when the Solow Branch Manager,

"Okay. Theron, let's hear what you have to say. Ethel, I need you to go over the completion report for the Therons' party yesterday."

For a moment, Ethel searches for information that is frightening but immediately forwarded from the orb.

"The result of yesterday's crusade of the five Therons is Giant Toad, a giant frog... two..."

Even if Ethel looked at it in the light of her common sense, she thought it was nothing but anomaly that a party of five, composed of classes four and five, had only two frogs to crusade.

And everyone in the guild was the same perception.

The Branch Manager, turning to Theron,

"Theron, yesterday's crusade results are abnormally low (...), but why? Yeah, if you weren't feeling well, that's fine, and if you don't want to answer, that's fine. But if you don't return a decent answer, I'll check the orb."

In his heart, Theron was thinking about how to recover his own failures.

(Damn, my mouth slipped. HOW TO GET AWAY...... I can't think of any... well, I have this hand)

"I felt something bad yesterday. It's a bug news. Then I saw Hydra coming towards us by chance. I forgot to report it yesterday, so I was going to report it today. That's why I thought these guys must have fought Hydra. You're wrong about the tavern."

Ray hears the words and regrets that he was in too much of a hurry.

(No way, I don't think this kind of excuse works, but there's no difference in the lack of physical evidence. If I can't check the orb, I can get away with it......)

He's still trying to eat down,

"Why didn't you tell me about it yesterday when you were in the wrong place on Lake Turbide? At least you must be responsible for putting your people in crisis."

"I thought you said it when you met us. You're forgetting. I can say anything just by mouth. You accuse us of innocence. I'll have it dropped."

Theron declared so with a winning face, turning to the Branch Manager,

"What's the guild gonna do? We did forget to report it. But isn't that too much to say that that's a breach of duty? Where's the proof that these guys are right?

"But there's no evidence to say you're right. If you say you're right, all you have to do is show the orb, but why is that possible?

"Pride. We adventurers live in pride. Can you show me the orb when they say you abandoned your people and said," Is that right? "The Branch Manager will know!

The atmosphere in the guild was what said the orb should be shown, but it is becoming a trend that there are parts of Theron who can also agree with what he said.

Further, the cellon

"If you say so much, I'll show you the orb. But if you can beat me in a duel. What do you say, this fight, take it!

Here, Ashley, who has been silent until now, speaks up.

"Are you so rotten! That battle, I..."

I just spoke that far, and Ray grabbed her arm and shut her up,

"That battle, I'll take it! I don't know the rules of the duel, so I'll ask the branch manager later. I'll get back to you with the details, okay?

Theron said he'd do it.

"It would be good. However, the duel is within ten days. Weapons use their own weapons. I'll let you decide all the other conditions. Whatever you want!

And Theron left the guild.

The leftover rays are:

(I said momentum...... but there must be a better chance for me to win than Ashley to fight. It's not forbidden to use magic... but can you fight against people, to me...)

With that in mind, Ashley, lying next to him, turned herself abusively,

"Why don't you let me do it! You can't win... even I have a low chance of winning..."

"Sorry, but I don't know if Ashley will recover, and I think I have a better chance... Besides, if Ashley fights and loses, I wonder what he'll do..."

She blushes a little, but immediately reconsiders that's not the situation.

That's when Solow Branch Manager said, "Ray, Ashley. You both have to come to the branch manager's office," he said, taking them both and going into the back of the guild.
