Lesson 33: Confusion

Rays' escorting merchants entered the path.

The climb gradually gets tighter, but the horses still don't look painful either, as they progress at a slow rate.

The forest atmosphere, as it was yesterday, is deliberate, but after more than an hour in the wagon, there was no news of the raid, as a group of nearly eighty passes, including twenty-five wagons and thirty-eight escorts - there was no Ray and Ashley in the number of escorts Gad had known.

Ray looked at the cargo carriage, which made a noise of reluctance.

(If you make all this noise, the demons won't attack you. And then there's the bandit... there's about 300m from the beginning to the rear. From here - the beginning of the second set - but I don't see the rear end... if it raids, it'll take a long time for reinforcements to arrive... if it raids at the same time in several places... it could be awkward...)

Left after 6: 00 a.m., already two hours.

I had only digested a quarter of the entire process, but Ray felt it was going pretty well, either because of the tension.

(It's about 10km from Breemer to the top of the box, so it should be a little more... what are we going to do with the break?

His senses are slightly crazy and he is only about 6 km out of Breemer Village. At this slow speed, it takes an hour and a half to reach the top of the canopy.

"Ash, do you plan on putting in a break somewhere?

"No, he won't take a break until he's through..."

Ashley wondered if he had come up with anything and asked, "Is there something wrong? I hear,"

"No, I wondered how I would take a break in this long merchant squad... I thought it would be awkward if they attacked me multiple places at the same time where I was resting"

"Right. If you get attacked in several places at the same time, you're in good hands. Especially if you get attacked at the beginning and rear of the line... the carriage will not escape and we will be a bag rat..."

"What's with all the demons around here?

"Right. Most of the things in the woods and mountains should have been there... but the trouble is with the big ghosts, the Orga, the grey bears, the big demons of the big tooth monkeys."

Ray thought that a big demon would be a pain in the ass anywhere, and he said, "What's so special about a big demon?" I hear.

"We can't surround ourselves on this narrow road. One-on-one correspondence is broken bones. I can't see him approaching, so the guy with less experience panics. And..."

Where she talked that far, she heard screams coming from the front.

"It's a bunch of spear deer Speadiah! Keep the horses down!

Hearing that word, Ashley said, "It's a spear deer! Just rush through, so don't attack without darkness!" and immediately scream back.

From the front there is the hoarse voice of the horse and the roaring voice of the guards screaming to call.

And towards Ray,

"Spear deer are deer with horns as sharp as spears, but they are basically huge. But when I panic, I run around with the herd, dozens of herds. Scratching makes it even more violent. Only what comes before you, with minimal attack."

Shortly after she says so, a big deer, as many deer as the male of Ezojica, crosses like flying in front of her.

Its head had two straight corners with pointed tips about fifty cm long, and it was glowing hard in the leaking sun.

The movement is quick for size and runs like a chamosica, making the orbit difficult to predict.

(Dozens of these guys... if they suddenly show up out of the woods, there's no escape...)

Many spear deer pass around him.

One blushes in front of his horse, and the horse stands still.

He manipulated the reins and calmed the horse "how, how," but the panicking horse was rampaging about to run out.

I desperately manipulated the reins and managed to calm them down, but behind me there were many horses hissing, the sound of the "darn” of the carriage hitting something and the screams of your lord echoing in the woods.

The spear deer abruptly disappeared just as they did when they showed up.

But the chaos of the merchants continues, and I hear cursing voices from front to back.

The second squad with the Rays was also rampaged by escort horses, and a young swordsman, who was between the third and fourth, was down and wounded.

Fortunately, there has been no damage to the carriage, and your men are forgiving the excited horses.

Ray was treating a fallen young swordsman, Tiff. He seemed to have a broken left arm, and he was worried about how to treat it.

(Sounds like a broken bone. It's bent on the weird one... and how am I supposed to treat him? I can only think of enough to encourage cell activation for now... why don't you just fix it and hang the magic...)

He holds Tiff's left arm in place with an escort and hangs the magic of light.

Tiff was staring at Ray with his eyes round because he thought it was just the escort.

"You can use the magic of healing? Thanks for your help. Sorry."

"Don't worry about it. More than that, I'm not in charge, so I'm not sure it's healing properly. So you better not force it"

There, you go check the situation behind you, or Gad, the temporary captain of the escort, passes by.

Gad told Ashley,

"The previous carriage overturned. I'm reloading my stuff now, but it'll take twenty minutes. I'm sorry, but until I get back, I need you to take command of the previous squad. I'll be back as soon as I get the mess behind me."

And then I look at Ray, who was hanging the healing magic, and I say, "Will you come with me behind you?"

He confirmed that Ashley nodded and replied, "OK," crossing the horse.

The back was increased to the previous two squads, confused.

The third squad had one carriage running from the road into the woods, and the horse that was towing was dead, hitting his head against the tree. Your man is jumping before the horse hits him, and there are no major injuries due to the extent of the predatory wounds. One of the escorts was jumped by that carriage, but this one wasn't hurt badly either.

In the fourth squad, two carriages lined up to block the way. The merchants are discussing whether one wheel is damaged and next to it can be fixed by first aid.

Apparently, a panicked horse tried not to run next to the carriage in front.

"You think I can fix that? If I can't, I give up one. I need you to check the situation behind you and come back to a conclusion."

The merchants looked like they were going to cry and began to consult with your men.

Gad doesn't mind that, he says, "If there's an injured person, tell me," and he passes by.

One of the Fourth Squad's escorts was also injured in the fall of his horse.

The mercenary seemed to have struck his head on the ground at the fall of the horse, bleeding from the back of his head and unconscious.

(Am I going to see such a seriously wounded person... an amateur me...)

Ray was expected to treat beyond first aid and was puzzled.

(I'm the only one who can do it. Then just do what you can...... ok, I'll do it......)

When I get in the mood for myself, I gently take my helmet off the head of that mercenary - a human swordsman in his late twenties.

Long hair fell off and hung on the woman's face.

When I looked at the back of my head, I saw a gizzard cut, like cutting the underside of my helmet with a sticking branch of wood.

Make sure your hair and foreign bodies are not in your wound, and activate your cells with the magic of light.

The woman's wound, wrapped in white light, sees. It's blocked.

(Concussion? It's not a brain contusion... I don't know what I can do about this one... It would suck if I had a brain bleed, so why don't I just purify it with water and tree magic for once...)

He doesn't know if it works, but for now he activates the cells with the magic of light, assuming there is a bleeding spot, and hangs them with purification and regeneration with the magic of water and wood.

White, blue and green light alternately scans her head. I don't know how long it should take, so I'll cut it up where it's appropriate.

And to the leader of the fourth squad,

"I'm not in charge, so I've never treated anyone who hit me in the head and lost their mind. In the meantime, I've tried to hang the healing magic, but I don't know if I'll be conscious again. I hope you don't move it."

That's what I say, chasing Gad without even listening to the leader's words of gratitude.

The Fifth Squad had relatively minor damage and little confusion.

Gad instructs me to remain vigilant until he signals his departure again, and he returns to the front.

tapping Ray's shoulder as he walked,

"Wow, you are. I've been a mercenary for about twenty years, but I've never seen him treated before."

Coming to the fourth squad, the wheels of the carriage had already been removed and repairs had begun.

When Gad asked, "How long will it be before it's over," the merchant said, "I'll be done in thirty minutes," and he was directing the repair.

The female mercenary who hit her in the head still seemed unconscious and was put to sleep on the edge of the road.

In the third squad, he was pulling out a wagon that ran into the woods.

Here again, when Gad asked about the prospect of completing the work, he returned the answer that it would be over in twenty minutes.

It seemed to tow a mercenary riding horse into a horse, and it had already attached horse equipment to one horse.

Ray returns to his squad, the second squad, but I didn't mind if the bandits attacked him in this state of confusion.

On the north side of the Rays, in the woods on the baluster side, was Cylon and a group of black clothes who helped him.

Cylon and the other one were watching the merchant squad, from the stunning rocks.

"That merchant squad is pretty messed up. Isn't this your chance now?

Wearing leather armor taken from the mercenary he was escorting, Cylon, with a narrow long sword, speaks to the leader of the group in black, with a grin that he had burned at.

"Most of those merchants carry groceries. Taking it away is less fruitful. Where are you headed more than that?

The man in black glances at the merchants and then turns right back to Theron.

"I owe him back, but for now, I'm going into Sartooth, and I'm going to lurk in Soviny. Somewhat accommodating over there."

The man in black nodded uninterested in Theron's answer, returning to a group of about fifty,

"We're leaving. I want to stay ahead of the roster by the end of the day."

The men in black did not slap their mouths in vain and went into a deep forest with no path.

It was not until an hour after the raid that the confusion caused by the spear deer subsided and it was possible to restart.

Second squad escort Tiff's arm managed to connect. But the pain still seemed to run when I put in the effort, and I looked up when I held the reins.

The female mercenary, who hit the head of the fourth squad, appeared to have regained consciousness after a while, still, blue-faced, but had no obstacle to action.

The wheels of a broken carriage are provided with first aid and there is no obstacle to movement at once. But in the eyes of your men, if you force the speed, the wheel will break completely.

(We've managed the escort, but you're going to have a bomb in the carriage. The next time I get raided, I might have to abandon that one...)

Finally, the departing merchant team climbs up at the same slow speed as earlier.

The stiffness in the woods was the same, and everyone, including merchants, escorts and lords, was vigilant around them while creating a tingling atmosphere.

An hour and a half after his departure, when the sun came quite south, he finally reached the top of the canopy.

The merchants still can't take a break here, and they keep going down the road.

The descent was able to speed up slightly, and about an hour and a half after the top, around 1 p.m., we arrived at a camp that was attacked yesterday by a forest wolf.

The wagons are arranged in circles, and mercenaries destined for scouts go to scout the woods.

The camp was littered with carcasses of devoured wolves, but the escorts clean it up and enter a small pause.

"If we get here, we'll get to Baluster in two and a half hours. The carriage of the fourth squad will be inspected with care again! The escort will take a break from the squad in due course!

At the instruction of the guard captain Gadd, he was to take a break in turns, but if he has not yet left the dangerous area, the diner is also wary of his surroundings with a tense face.

"Still, the woods are bothering. There could be another wave."

Ashley mutters to herself so.

"Is the roster about 10 km away? I hope I can get there without a thing..."

After a small pause, the merchants go down the street again.

There was no raid or wagon malfunction that went smoothly down a slow downhill road and was of concern.

Around 4: 30 p.m., the merchants arrived safely in the village of Baluster.

Ray and Ashley broke up with the merchants at the village entrance and headed to the village centre to find accommodation.
