Trinitas Mundus

Episode Thirty: Borderline Streets in the Rain

By the time I had left the demon dog raid and finished cleaning up after the battle, the night was completely dawn.

The foggy rain, which began to fall in the middle of the night, continues to fall, wrapping white vales around grass and tree branches.

"Lord Meracrino, with all this smell of blood, you could be attacked by another demon. I would like to leave immediately, but how long will it take to prepare?

"Thirty minutes, no, if you leave sequentially, you can leave the beginning in twenty minutes. If that's all right with you, I'll make it quick."

Valeria nods and heads towards the mercenaries.

"We leave in twenty minutes. You're ready!

The mercenaries said, "" Yes! "" He answers aloud and runs to your help.

Twenty minutes later, we don't even get breakfast, and the leading carriage leaves.

Ray watched the leading Hamish and others eat portable food on horseback - dried fruit and baked confectionery.

(Glad I had a portable meal...... but it was helpful to have two Mr. Hamish and Mr. Alberic. He was almost knocked down with a single blow, and the two of us are knocking down eight heads. If it were just us, it would have taken more time, and a lot of injuries would have come out...... I'm a hero indeed, those two)

An hour later, find a suitable flat ground for a break and enter a small pause.

Ray was talking about Hal and the Hamish.

"That's really amazing, Mr. Hamish and Mr. Alberic."

Hal, feeling a little excited,

"Really, you will, won't you? I've seen the captain fight before, so I'm not so surprised, but I'm surprised you've never seen him before."

"I thought so, too. They said the kingdom" Lax "was the strongest, but when you see it, you don't even have a voice."

Hal laughed at the words,

"But, Mr. Ray. You made the captain admit to losing. So be more confident."

Ray hastily denies it.

"Oh, because that's a bad idea. Mr. Hamish was just caught off guard..."

"But there are four captains, four Alberic, and two Rays. The opponent is equivalent to the fifth level, so it's amazing enough. Well, Mr. Ashley and Mr. Stella have two heads, so it's amazing."

Ray remembers his battle,

"Only the first one I put in place, right? After that, I was going to do a little more damage than stab a stop, so wasn't the stop stabbed by someone else?

"I heard six heads were damaged by Mr. Ray's magic. In the meantime, Mr. Alberic stabbed the stop, and the captains stabbed the stop, but they only had magical wounds."

"I had a bad hit."

Ray didn't know why he was bothering to look into it after that busy fight.

"But why are you looking into that?

"I'm going to dispense the Demon Crystal Stone later. Each joint defeat can be divided evenly, but the single item can be taken alone. It's a fifth grade, so it's going to be quite a penny."

"It is. So, how was Hal?

"I managed to get one with Mr. Renzi. Even so, Mr. Renzi almost attacked me."

Ray questions a system that is evaluated by the number of defeats.

"Right. But I couldn't get it in there, so I think it's easier that way..."

"It's okay. Because a captain or deputy captain will look at that place and give you a bonus. Otherwise, healers are a bad idea."

(I see... but it must be tough, captain. Because we have to appreciate what the effect is invisible...)

The little pause is over and we go down the street again.

After noon, the rain, which was foggy rain, gradually became full-scale rain.

Due to the Pai Dawn raid, the merchants were leaving earlier than planned.

But the road is muddy, and the horses take their feet many times. As a result, the time of arrival at the planned accommodation was around 5: 00 p.m., after the scheduled time was significantly past.

Just like yesterday, they will form a circle to create a tent - a simple tent like a tarp - that uses a carriage.

Like yesterday, Ray and Hal are entrusted with the care of the horses, who take the horses under the tent and wipe their wet bodies with rain.

When the horses were taken care of, the area was dim and it seemed like it was already past six in the afternoon.

I hurried to install the magic props of the lights, and I was finally able to rest my wet body.

(It just rains, but the difficulty increases all at once. If this is snow or storm, what will happen......)

Since it is not possible to start a large incineration, fire and eat in each tent.

Salty soup with dried meat in stock and well-preserved solidified bread, on which dried fruit is served.

(That's just something easier than yesterday. In my case, I can't camp for more than three days... as planned. Tomorrow night, I want to stay in the village.)

The sleeping shift that night will also take place in the same system as yesterday.

Fortunately, there were no demons raids that night, and we were able to have a peaceful morning.

Even at dawn, the rain was still falling.

But the rain foot was weakening, and the thick clouds were also visible by the way.

(It would help if you stopped me. The road is still wet and I guess it will be late to arrive today......)

After a brief breakfast, the merchants began to move at a slow pace.

As Ray expected, the muddy weather on the road is getting worse, and the further behind the line, the deeper the wheels of the carriage get.

On several occasions in the rear, the wheels of the wagon were stuck in the cradle. As a result, the merchants had stopped each time and only proceeded at about half the planned speed.

The rain stops around 10 a.m. and all of the merchant squad will have a horrible look on their face.

However, the road muddy did not improve and the speed of the merchants had not increased at all, even at a time considerably past noon.

Valeria, the captain, was pressed to make a decision as to whether to head to the village of Bogby ahead or camp in the right place.

(I have seven or eight km to go. At this rate, it takes three hours, or four hours if you do poorly. About four hours after sunset. I see tiredness in everyone already, but do you want to impose it...)

Valeria tells everyone she's headed to the village of Bogby.

Welcoming voices were heard from everyone.

The first night, the rain from the second day, they were all looking for a warm bed.

With a small pause, the merchants do not change their speed slowly and continue eastward down the street.

At 7 p.m. on June 13, he arrived at the village of Bogby, today's destination.

The sun had already fallen and was dimming, but the men parked their carriages neatly in the square in the heart of the village.

The mercenaries were not only taking care of their horses, but also helping your men with their work and trying to rest a little quicker.

In the meantime, Valeria was discussing with Meracrino the schedule for tomorrow and beyond.

"I'd like to decide to stay here again tomorrow, what do you think?

"Right. Everyone is tired, and so are the horses. The road will still be wet, too. There is room for deadlines. Follow Captain Valeria's instructions."

Valeria works around carriages, turning to mercenaries and men.

"I'm going to stay here in Bogby Village again tomorrow! Get some rest today!

With that said, there will be a welcoming voice from all of us, whether you are a mercenary or not.

Seeing him like that, Ray was also horrified that he wasn't the only one who was getting tired.

(Everybody's tired, too. Let me slow you down tomorrow)

Valeria assembled each squad leader,

"I'm sorry, but the accommodation in this village is almost filled with your people and merchants. I'm going to negotiate with the village chief, but I might end up staying at the villagers' house. I also need a sleeping number..."

When the squad leaders receive their orders, they return to their respective squads.

Ashley looked back and stared at Valeria.

(Sister Val seems pretty tired too. I have my father and brother Al, but they don't seem to have talked to me at all, and maybe tomorrow's day off was just right...)

When the village chief learned that there was that (...) famous Hamish, he offered to offer his own house and several houses as an inn for the mercenary regiment.

Ashley and the others. The order of the five squads' insomnia was to be from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the first, and the house of an eight-member family behind the village chief's house had been set as the temporary quarters.

Ray is about to collapse all at once due to lack of sleep and long journey fatigue in order to stand on the sentry without even taking dinner.

(sleepy...... I want to sit back......)

Stella came beside him like that.

"Master Ray, you seem tired, are you okay?

Ray, who rounded his eyes to Stella's care,

"Oh, thank you. I'm fine. You just have to put up with it for two hours, and you can take your time tomorrow."

"I'll keep an eye on you, so why don't you sit on your podium?

"It's okay. Stella's tired, and everyone's trying. I can't just rest. [M] But thanks."

Stella lowered her head gently and went back to her place of residence.

(Stella spontaneously cared... maybe because it's me, but this could be a good trend...)

Ray felt Stella's change and felt a little soothed by the heavy fatigue he had felt earlier.

Alternate sleeping numbers and head to assigned private houses.

Ray tried to pull his tired body together and followed the Ashleys.

Ashley stared at Ray, Renzi and Hal in turn,

"This will be the Inn of today and tomorrow, the house of Lord Enos. It's not an inn. Don't take it off too much."

The three of them say "Roger" and clasp their shoulders.

Is Enos' house wealthy in this village, or is it bigger than the house around? The roof is thatched, but there are four rooms inside, said to be three generations and eight people living there.

Ashley said, "I'm from the Mercenary Corps of Markat. I'm here to rent an inn tonight," a disappointed, bodied man about forty opens the door when he shouts in front of the entrance.

"It's Enos. The village chief tells me. Go ahead."

Enos spoke in a sober tone and invited them inside.

It's dim inside and there's only one magic prop for the lights.

Sometimes in the countryside it could be said that it was late at night, and he and his family, other than his wife Connie, had already fallen asleep.

My wife, Connie, starts splitting dinner from a pan hung on Kamado.

What was served was some kind of meat soup, and Ray was howling his breath as it seemed to stain his cold, tired body.

(Phew. Finally get comfortable. I'm really tired. Nothing will happen to me tonight...)

They flatten the prepared meal and are passed into a room like the living room in the back.

Enos seems sorry.

"Sorry for the lack of beds"

Two bunks and a simple bunk with straw laid on the floor and cloth hanging over it were made.

"Renzi and Hal need me to use the bedroom. Me, Ray, and Stella sleep on the floor."

Renzi and Hal raise their protests to Ashley's instructions,

"I want to rest fast. I'll talk to you about what you're gonna do tomorrow, but you're gonna have to follow my instructions today."

As they were both tired, no further protests were raised, and they immediately lay down unequipped.

Ray also removes his gear, then pretends to go to the bathroom and hangs the magic of cleanliness on himself.

(I really wanted to wipe it with water...)

Satisfied that he has removed the dirt, he rolls on the floor with a gobble.

As he lay down, Ashley and Stella came into the blanket from both sides.

(What? Don't you have your own blanket? ……

Just when he was going to sleep like a river letter, he was puzzled by the situation.

My body should be tired, but the smell specific to Ashley and Stella's woman tickles his nose and blinds me.

(Ash knows I can't get my hands on it because there's both Mr. Renzi and Hal? This situation is close to torture...)

But his body fatigue was stronger, and before enough, he fell into his dreams, too.

The next morning, when I wake up, Renzi is laughing at Couscous.

"Flowers in both hands, you say this. Do you want me to mix it up, too? Hehe."

Hal is awake, too,

"Mr. Ray, you don't have to guess... I can't do it anyway. Mr. Renzi, please keep me warm."

Renzi nods honestly, "Oh, that's good," to Hal's acting trick.

Where Hal turned out surprised,

"Then I'll go outside. It warms you up with training, doesn't it?

When Hull's face turned into a pitiful look, the three except Stella were laughing a lot.

Upon leaving the room, Enos' family had already finished their meals, and all of them were, did they go to work, only their husband Enos and his wife Connie.

Similar soups and beans boiled yesterday line the table.

Five quietly flattened their meals because they were tired last night, eating less than usual.

(Pretty good. Is it the same as your usual meal, or did you prepare it specially for us? And I heard you're an eight-member family, and you only see Mr. Enos and his wife. Yesterday, anyway, it's not that late yet. Am I avoided because I'm a mercenary?
