Trinitas Mundus

Episode 62: The March Begins

Early morning of December 25th.

The Demon Army began marching ahead of the scouts of the lightly dressed little ghosts and their families, the Goblins.

Orvo Kronvar, a commander of the Great Ghost Nation, was going to put the main force behind the scouts, the Great Ghost Nation and Auga, but was screwed by the leader of the Middle Ghost Nation, Vaino Budosko, and others to pioneer the Middle Ghost Nation.

He reconsiders that he should see the enemy formation on the battlefield before changing it, reluctantly acknowledging it.

(You want to clear up the accumulated depression, but increasingly Vaino has stopped listening. I wanted the Middle-Ghost tribe to go around east of the city and block the escape route, but hopes seem thin. You can turn the Auga to a separate task force, but it's too powerful to kill everyone, and if you're ready to die and get the city set on fire, it's a pain in the ass... you can chase through the city after you break through the fence, and now you don't have to think that far...)

Vaino of the Middle-Ghost clan was wearing a metal chest armor (breast plate) and leather protective gear, marching through the woods with a giant single-edged curved knife falsion in his hand.

Around him, armed Middle-Ghost warriors are marching with a grin on their fierce faces.

(We can finally fight! It's not a demon opponent, either! We can wreak havoc around the humans... and the blood will roll. We ghosts need a fight. I don't need a little hard reason! Wave your sword and let the blood of your enemies splash. This is how ghosts live!

He inspired the warriors around him.

Varma Niska of the Moon Demon Nation was worried about how to bring Luna back safely, the son of the Moon.

There are two main choices given to her.

One is the way back to Sokius - the land of the demons east of Aquila - through the southern side of the Aquila Mountains with the escort Orvo put on.

Another way to go through the Toa, acting together with the main army of the Demonic Army, after occupying Periclitle and surrounding cities, by attacking the Toa fort in the southern Kingdom of Kaum - the fort south of the Aquila Mountains, the only way through the East and West - and through the Toa.

There were lengths and shorts in both ways.

The first way to return alone is to be able to bring back the son of the moon as soon as possible.

Conversely, it is necessary to break through the Aquila Mountains, where dangerous demons travel, because the only safe route is the inability to pass through Fort Toa. At a level where the dragon species can handle their opponents on a warrior level, but the scouts only have themselves and two wing demons because they are turned down to accompany the little ghost tribe with a good turnaround. For this reason, there is a risk of a monster ambush with a dangerous Aquila. It was also a matter of concern that the child of the moon, a normal human being, was physically challenged through the harsh mountains of mid-winter.

Another advantage of the way to accompany the main army of the Demon Army is the extraordinarily high safety of the Son of the Moon. You have no fear of demons attacking you because you will be protected by five thousand armies. In fact, when we cross Aquila, even the earth dragon, a dragon species, sees their army and escapes.

The weakness, on the other hand, is the delay in the return of the son of the moon to Sochius. There were no hurried instructions from Elise Nortia, chief of the Moon Demon tribe who gave her instructions, but if you act with the army, it will take at least six months to drop Fort Toa. Then it will take nearly a year for the Son of the Moon to reach Luberna - the city of the Moon Demons - because he will be returning to Sochius.

(Given your son's safety, it would be nice to act with the army, but then it will take ten months at the earliest. If that takes longer, it might take longer because the enemy will send troops. It's a little risky here. But it looks like we should go back. But I have anxiety with my current gear... at least I need your child's cold gear...)

Varma accompanied the Demon Army until they occupied Pericritle and decided to gear up in the city before crossing Aquila.

(You can also make a "Kishiko" for your son to ride. This is the surest way...)

Varma regarded the Demonic Army's occupation of Pericritle as an established fact.

He had infiltrated Periclitle, confirming himself that the fence was poor and that his power was overwhelmingly inferior. There were no further signs of reinforcements on the surrounding streets, and he thought that if the end of the war was opened, it would be easy to win in about half a day. But she didn't even know she existed about the trap Ray had prepared, nor did she know it was already complete and waiting to destroy the Demonic Army.

Luna was at the headquarters of the Demonic Army with Varma.

Constantly around her, Varma or Wingman refrain, and I see no escaping gaps at all.

And when I heard that Orvo, commander of the Demonic Army, had ordered me to march, it darkened in front of me.

(You can't beat so many enemies. Seems like Saint was thinking of some kind of operation, but he's still full of orgasms all around him. I can't believe Periclitle's walls are easily torn down if they hang on an ogre. Saints and Mr. Ashley would be able to fight one-on-one, but only a handful of people on that level......)

And I can't think about what I should do.

(This is not how I can do it anymore. I thought it would take me to escape and stop the march or kill myself and lower my morale, but in this situation there is no gap in it... what can I do...)

She stops walking sometimes, but she can't even do it because Varma, who boiled her business, switched to transporting on the wing demon. He storms with a wing demon hanging from him, but because he's flying low, he barely sustained any injuries when he crashed.

Determined to affect the march, Varma and Orvo have decided to disconnect Luna and Varma from the main unit and head to Periclitle with their escorts.

(I don't have a hitter... I tried to bite off my tongue, but it stops me before I bite it off and I get cured magic hanging on it... I seem to have to go to Kwaedam Tenebre as a prisoner as I am...)

At the end of the day I thought that in a self-derisive way.

morning of December 25th.

The scouts, who were monitoring the demonic army, captured the enemy's movements.

They immediately raised the wolf smoke and reported it to Periclitle. The wolf smoke hid in a forest tree and was never seen by the Demon Army.

Adventurer Guild HQ panics at once when information arrives that the Demon Army has moved out to Periclitle. Defense chief Randall Ogburn immediately held a meeting with Reginald Warbeck, guild chief, as well as flying warnings orders to surrounding cities and villages.

On the occasion of the meeting, Randall reported the start of the invasion of the Demonic Army and further proposed the evacuation of the remaining non-combatants in the city. Once again, the guild chief expressed his solidarity with the remaining residents of the city and promised to encourage them to evacuate.

Having completed the meeting, Randall assembled key executives and decided to hold a military conference.

At the beginning of the military council, he begins to speak in a quiet tone.

"I know you've already heard, but five thousand Demon Army moved out. Forecast should be coming to the city by noon tomorrow. If we all do our part, we can destroy our enemies. But unforeseen things can happen at any time. If you have concerns, I want you to be proactive."

He asked to speak with the intention of draining the gas. When he finishes his remarks, the captains come up with various opinions.

Some of them had already struck measures, and even the captain class seemed to be losing their normal minds before the Great War "Ooh Sake".

Randall realizes that and takes a glimpse of Ray. Ray noticed the same thing, and nodded small.

Ray smiled sparingly,

"I understand your concerns very well. But the planting is already done. You can afford more than Millis Valley this time as long as you have time to deal with your enemies. Believe my plan."

In Ray's words the captains remembered his measures and were nodding small.

"It's early and tomorrow morning for the enemy to come. Feed your English and build up your strength today."

And he sent Randall a signal with his eyes.

"Leaving a minimum watch tonight, we celebrate tomorrow's victory! We're having a big banquet in the square in front of the Alliance starting at 5pm! What? I've already got permission from the guild leader. But don't drink like you're staying tomorrow at noon."

If Ray's suggestion determined there was no possibility of an enemy night raid, he had decided to throw a banquet to raise his morale. Food was also a plan to behave fairly heavily, as if the city were occupied, it would only be taken away by the enemy.

At the end of the military debate, Randall left Ray alone,

"We're going to the Light God now. The Holy Knight will finally be given a place to work."

Randall walked out as soon as he got a bad grin from people.

"But do the Saints really move? No, I think it's okay now, but if you look at the herd of orgasms, you'll be scared."

When Ray said that, Randall just said, "Leave it to me," and didn't go into details.

Go to a luxury inn with a light theocracy executive and meet Maximilian Paredes, captain of the Holy Knights.

When Randall conveys the information that the Demon Army will move, Paredes says with dignity, "You can leave it to us tomorrow".

Ray finds fear in that attitude, but Randall says he follows.

"Will you come to the South Gate tomorrow morning? The enemy will probably arrive here around noon. It would be a sawdust painting if you entered the enemy with the sunlight on your back from the south. Right, let the bard watch the game too. Come on, you'll make a good poem."

Paredes seemed satisfied with Randall's words.

Randall and Ray, who followed Paledes' room, visited Bishop Maggioni Gastaldi, head of the Light Divine Demonic Crusade.

Randall changed from his attitude toward Paredes by hitting him, facing Gastaldi with a tough face.

"The success or failure of tomorrow's battle hangs with the Saints. In the unlikely event (...) that you turn your back on your enemies, decide that the Demonic Crusade of Light God is not serious. Naturally, this will be passed on to the countries. Keep that in mind for your liver. I'll tell you what, you (...) have offered to storm the enemy. Forget that we've been screwing hard where we can fight alone."

Ray tilts his neck at what Randall said about the play, but sees Gastaldi's expression and understands what he wants to do.

(The bishop's expression is quite rugged. I'm sure you do. Originally, the reputation of light theism around here is not good. If the Sacred Knights look impudent, not to mention the Kingdom of Kaum, which is now forced many times to lick hard acids by the Demons with the Kingdom of Lax, which is fighting the Demons, the reputation of the Light God falls to earth even in the Kingdom of Sartooth, which forms the Kingdom of Lax and the United Kingdom. Since the Kaelm Empire is a state of war, the destinations of the Light Divine religion will be confined to their own countries and autonomous cities. Bishop Gastaldi is not a fool, so you're trying to give him control of Captain Paredes)

Randall went on to say more.

"Neither do I, but Ray Arklight here doesn't trust Captain Paredes either. They say Captain Paredes has authority over the battle, but do you have any other authority? Then think about it."

The words make Gastaldi's face even more rugged.

That's all Randall said, he turned his heel back and tried to leave the room. Ray also tried to follow suit, bowing his head to Gastaldi and trying to leave the room.

Gastaldi stops Randall and Ray "I want you to wait".

"Small jobs are amateurs when it comes to fighting. I'm not sure how much you expect from the Holy Knight of our Order in this battle. Can you tell me about the area?"

Randall looked at Ray as chilling, then nodded slightly, "Let me explain it from Arklight. Ray, explain it to him," he told Ray.

Ray couldn't really grasp Randall's intentions, but he went on to explain the role expected of the Holy Knight and the impact when he failed.

"By saying…, if the Saints escape, the morale of their allies will fall and the city will be ravaged by the Demons"

Gastaldi groans and dismays at the words "that much influence......"

And after a while of thinking,

"It is not possible at this stage to dismiss Captain Paredes. But I will include you in my statement to the deputy captain, Langes Fortunato. If Captain Paredes commits a serious act in the Holy Knight, he will allow it to be cut off."

Randall nodded satisfactorily, but Ray still felt inadequate.

"But then will the Saints not listen to the Lord Fortunato, who cut off Captain Paredes"

Gastaldi reconsiders, but Randall asks Ray a question before he says anything.

"Then what am I supposed to do? You have to use the Holy Knight. It's no different."

"Right...... how about this? It is the Bishop who teaches the Holy Knights their lesson. To fight shamelessly in the name of God of Light (Lucidus). And those who denounce his name shall be disposed of in the name of God. It would also be possible for Lord Fortunato to cut it off."

While Ray said so himself, he had a sense that he was saying something nasty.

(It's nice to get rid of Captain Paredes, but it doesn't feel good to plot in the shadows like this. Besides, I wish I'd just eliminated it, but now I'm talking about cutting it off, which means killing it sucks. Looks like he's in for an assassination discussion...)

It had nothing to do with his chest like that, and both Randall and Gastaldi were nodding.

"Well, I'll give you a lecture by the end of the day."

Gastaldi smiled and said so, and Randall smiled and bowed his head, "Please."

I'm out of use, so when I try to exit, Gastaldi just calls Ray off.

"I need to speak to Master Arklight. Commander Ogburn, may I borrow just a moment?"

Randall said, "Still, I have work to do. Briefly, please. Ray, come to my room when you get home," he said, leaving the room.
