Lesson 64: The Morning of the Showdown

December 26th.

Clear blue skies widen in the morning, with cold winds blowing from west to east.

Ray had no hangover and woke up neatly.

He was washing his face and breakfast with Ashley and Stella. Hazels from Luna's party showed up there.

From the day after Luna was taken, they had returned to the inn where they always stayed, the Arid Eagle's Nest Pavilion, but Ray was too busy to catch him inside.

For once, I was at a banquet last night, but due to the loss of being deprived of Luna, I couldn't speak to Ray.

"Can I have a word?"

Hazel hesitates to speak up.

When Ray nods, Hazel sits in front of him and beast swordsman fans and Hulbert user Ryan sit in a nearby chair.

"Think I'm late to apologize and thank you. I'm really sorry about Luna. This happened because of my carelessness... and I didn't thank you enough for treating my fans and Ryan. Thank you so much then."

Ray nods back gently at the head lowering hazel.

Hazel explains that he is to join the healer squad and Fan and Ryan are to join the main squad.

"I really wanted to come and say it sooner, but I got snorted out. But I don't know who's going to lose his life in today's fight, and I'm going to tell you when I can. I'm sorry. When I'm busy."

That's all Hazel said, he walked away.

Fans thank you the same, then go after Hazel.

The rest of Ryan didn't open his mouth inside,

"I'm sorry for the meantime. It wasn't a word I'd say without power."

When Ray said he didn't care, Ryan looked him in the eye and

"If I win this fight, I'm going after Luna. I want you to let me know if you know anything about them."

And I said "please" and bowed my head deeply.

Ray nodded at it and passed on to Ryan the information he had obtained from the Little Ghost Clan.

"... from here on out it's my prediction, but I think you're probably going to go through the mountains to the south of Aquila - the Great Mountains to the east - and to the north of Fort Toa - the fort on the border of the Kingdom of Kaum. With fewer wing demons, I think they're wearing a new escort, but it looks like the wing demons can't summon new, and they should go on foot or at a speed close to it. We'll go through the woods, so if we catch up soon after the battle, we might catch up."

Ryan found hope in Ray's story.

"That means you still have a chance. Chance to take Luna back..."

Ray nods without saying anything.

(Not that I have any expectations. I don't think you're wrong about the Wingman, but all you have to do is get a new demon, so it's subtle if you can catch up. If there's one way, it's the route through Fort Toa. But you can't go through without the approval of the Kaum Kingdom, and then you need to head to the King's Capital, so you end up getting away with it... but you don't have to tell Ryan (him) the idea. Because to him it seems like the only living purpose is to get Luna back...)

As Ryan left, the Rays started preparing for today's showdown.

At 8 a.m., Ray wraps himself around a pure white armored snow coat (Nixwestis) as usual, then quits his usual brown-skinned cloak and hangs the bright white cloak he had from the beginning on his shoulder. On the arm was a vermilion armor (Van Place) representing the Mercenary Corps of Markat, where only it was stained red.

He has a love spear, a white horn (Albumcorne) in his hand.

There was nowhere to float on his expression, it felt calm, but his eyes heard a quiet fighting spirit. When I looked closely, my cheeks were slightly red, and that was the only sign of tension and excitement.

Ashley falls in love with that figure unexpectedly, but I thought I saw his unparalleled readiness.

(To say that I made this equipment in the presence of the Light Divinity is going to make the best use of the names “White Army Master", “White Mage". Neither me nor Stella can be beside Ray today. I wish I hadn't been impotent......)

Ashley was bought the experience and was entrusted with the command of the squad belonging to the main unit. Stella was similarly entrusted with the command of the scouts, who were to lurk in the East End.

Ray was next to his commander, Randall Ogburn, who was to be the “bait” to attract the enemy.

After leaving the Arid Eagle's Nest Pavilion, an inn, the three would fall apart, but without feeling it, they always looked as they did.

Ashley wore a black-iron chest armor that emitted dull light, a silver-thinking metal shoulder and leg armor. And she's also proudly wearing a pearly armor on her arm.

Ashley was more in the mood than usual, too, and she had strength in her hand holding the boneless two-handed sword, the sword of love.

Stella is wearing beautiful emerald green leather armor made of green snake dragon (green serpent) skin, wearing a similarly pearlescent armor to ascertain the position of the double sword.

Ray said, "Well, I'll go with the horse," and I headed over to the stables so I could go for a walk. Ashley and Stella, who dropped him off, nodded at each other and headed to their respective holding areas.

Ray reached the pillar in front of the stables and dropped his gaze on the ground.

(I may not be able to see the two of you. But this is the path I chose. So I don't regret it. I swore that the three of us would make another trip. I will definitely try to survive......)

He regains his temper there again and looks up. He then headed to Adventurer Guild Headquarters with his horse lover Traveller.

Two hundred of Randall's direct elite men were aligned in the square in front of the Alliance.

Randall stood in front of him, beside him was Ray's figure.

Beginning with Randall, the adventurers were amazed at Ray's likeness to the Holy Knight.

"You're like a holy knight. No, you're better equipped. But don't put a thread on the gold. Isn't it pleasant to be superior to the Saint Knight? Hey, don't we all think so?"

The adventurers were laughing as Randall's words also said, "Exactly."

Ray spoke in a tone of relief,

"If you're dressed like this, you can trust me as a white warrior."

The words make me laugh even louder.

In the meantime, a decree came running under Randall.

Beginning with Randall, everyone takes a breath and waits for the word of the decree.

"Demon Army, approaching position five kilometers east! We'll be in the city in an hour!

Randall said, "Thank you. Rest slowly," he said, laboring the preaching,

"All right! We're in formation too! We'll hunt the ghosts down!

I said to that voice, "Ooh!!" "The voice sums up.

After 9 a.m. on December 26.

The meadows east of Periclitle were cold winds blowing through and rocking dead grass.

Soldiers of about a thousand and five hundred adventurers are in place here.

Backwoods, made of round-tails scraped off the city's walls on their backs, were strewn, and archers were placed behind them.

In front of it, troops with spears formed a horizontal formation, and further troops of swordsmiths were deployed in several locations.

Near the East Gate, healers refrain from treating those wounded on the front line. Some hundred light god priests were among them.

Rays, the main unit was about fifty meters backward from the center of all the armies and the spear soldiers in the front row. It is about a hundred meters away from the east gate.

Individualistic adventurers, but all this time they seem sharp and neatly aligned.

In the meantime, only Randall and Ray were on horses. I could see clearly in the distance.

Randall's equipment was hardened with protective equipment of the same color on the black iron chest armor, and the clothes and cape he was wearing inside were black, so he looked like he was completely black. It was a stunning contrast to the white-endowed rays beside it, reminding the soldiers who saw it of the heroes who appeared in the myth.

South of the main unit was a horseback squad of brightly equipped Saint Knights.

But their troops were restless.

Occasionally, the horse moves on its own or the entire unit appears to be shaking and even though it is away from the position of the main unit, the horse is always heard hissing.

Randall was going around each unit with his horse and re-informing the operation.

"It's time for enemies to come out, but at first the Holy Knights of Light Divinity go in. I'll tell you what, those guys are trying to get us to come at them. Don't worry about getting hit. There's this guy over here with the" White Army. "Trust me and this guy, we need you to move as you planned!

I can hear that every unit has a stiff voice to respond to it and is nervous about the war "Ooh Sakusa".

As I finished going around all my troops and came back to my field, I received reports of enemy discovery.

"It's an enemy! The scouts are being chased!

Randall nodded loudly, "Prepare for battle!," he shouted, ringing the signal bell - which was bringing in objects for the clock.

Commander of the Demonic Army, Olvo Kronvar of the Great Ghost Nation, was concerned about the scourge of enemies coming into contact since yesterday.

(Looks like you know where we are. I've already slashed down about twenty people, but they seem to be laying a pretty dense sentry line. Again, did you leak information from the Little Ghost Clan...)

But considering the difference in power from the enemy, he quickly leans towards optimism.

(The enemy's power was originally many and four thousand. That's from the young guy to the retired rotor. More than a thousand adventurers escaped in the sense that Varma - the Moon Demon Spellmaster, Varma Niska - 's wing demon scouted. So many enemies, even three thousand. This is five thousand, including Auga and our Great Ghost Clan. There is no single element to lose)

And around 10 a.m. on December 26th.

The Western contingent led by Orvo went through the city of adventurers, the woods east of Periclitle.

The distance to the city is approximately 2 km.

As Orvo passes through the woods, wooden walls line the edge of a series of hills, with enemy soldiers waiting in front of him.

From what I've seen all along, it doesn't look like it's over two thousand.

(Seems to challenge the field that you can't fight on that fence. I'll only praise you for your courage, but that's a stupid choice. I didn't know you were going to put a field fight on our ghost opponents... Fair enough. Now I can get the city intact. Victory belongs to us!

Orvo had a fierce grin and gave orders to all the army to bark.

"The number of enemies is small! Take them down at once!"

The ghost warriors respond to his loud voice, "Ooh!"

The voice had crossed the plain and had also reached the Periclitle Defense Forces.
