Chapter 744 - 745: I am a Beast
"Of course not. How could I dare to lie to my darling Guo’er? Besides, I’m not the lying type," Lin Kuang said, grinning at Lin Guo’er’s reddening cheeks.
Lin Guo’er rolled her eyes at him, annoyed. "Just get dressed already. Your clothes are right here."
"As you wish, my darling Guo’er."
Lin Kuang replied with a grin, then sat on the bed and started to get dressed.
After he was dressed, Lin Kuang asked with a laugh, "Darling Guo’er, want to come upstairs with me?"
"Of course. I’m not staying down here by myself," Lin Guo’er said, still slightly irritated.
"Alright, let’s go then," Lin Kuang said cheerfully. He then led Lin Guo’er out of the underground space and upstairs, where they met Zhang Tianshun.
"Mr. Lin, Miss Lin, please have a seat," Zhang Tianshun said with a welcoming smile.
Lin Kuang didn’t stand on ceremony. He simply nodded and led Lin Guo’er to the sofa. Zhang Tianshun took a seat opposite them, adopting an attentive posture.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang smiled and got straight to the point. "Mr. Zhang, are you aware that the Fan Family is connected to the Demon Sect?"
Zhang Tianshun was visibly taken aback. "The Fan Family is connected to the Demon Sect? I wasn’t aware. Mr. Lin, is this true?" he asked very seriously.
If this were true, the Wumi Building would have no choice but to take action. Although the Wumi Building was a neutral organization, when it came to the battle between good and evil, it would naturally move against the Demon Sect.
Lin Kuang nodded. "That’s right. The Fan Family is in league with the Demon Sect; you could even say they *are* members of the Demon Sect.
"At the very least, I can confirm that the head of the Fan Family, Fan Wudao, is a member. The expert I just fought at the Kailun Hotel—a master at the Three Flowers Gathering at the Top level—was from the Demon Sect. During my conversation with him, I learned that Fan Wudao is also one of them.
"With that being the case, I suspect the upper echelons of the Fan Family are riddled with their people. You must investigate this. The Fan Family has significant influence both at home and abroad. If they fall under the Demon Sect’s control, it would be a disaster for all of us," Lin Kuang said, his tone heavy.
Hearing this, Zhang Tianshun nodded grimly. "Rest assured, Mr. Lin. Leave this matter to us. We will investigate it thoroughly. If they truly have ties to the Demon Sect, then there is no longer any reason for them to exist."
Lin Kuang nodded. "Good. Have your people investigate and keep me updated. I’ll be staying here for the next couple of days," he added after a moment of thought.
"Very well. In that case, I will report this to headquarters," Zhang Tianshun replied.
Lin Kuang nodded. He and Zhang Tianshun then parted ways, and he took Lin Guo’er back to their room in the underground space.
"Guo’er, let’s just stay here for the next few days," Lin Kuang said, turning to her with a smile. "By the way, did you call Shilin to let her know we’re safe?"
"Don’t worry," Lin Guo’er replied with a smile. "I’ve already told Shilin everything. She’s sending someone in a few days to manage the local branch, so you don’t need to worry about it."
Lin Kuang finally nodded in relief. "That’s good. Let’s get some rest early tonight." As he spoke, he gave Lin Guo’er a mischievous grin.
At his words, Lin Guo’er’s pretty face flushed red. Of course she knew what that bastard was planning to do to her.
"Um... could you maybe... not be so rough tonight?" she said, her face flushed as she looked at him. "I want to go shopping on Fifth Avenue tomorrow. If you’re... too much, I won’t be able to get out of bed."
Hearing this, Lin Kuang let out a wicked laugh. "Now that won’t do. How can I possibly hold back when my Guo’er is so alluring?"
"No, please! Can we wait until after we go shopping tomorrow?" she pleaded, her face burning. "Tomorrow night, you can do whatever you want." His strong, powerful body was more than she could bear when he got too rough.
Seeing her shy expression, Lin Kuang chuckled and nodded. "Alright, relax. I’ll let you off the hook for tonight. But I’ll be sure to punish you properly tomorrow."
"That’s more like it," Lin Guo’er finally smiled. "Let’s go to sleep." She then proactively undressed in front of him.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang wasn’t about to let the opportunity pass. He swept her into his arms, carried her to the bed, and began their private war.
Lin Kuang was true to his word. They didn’t go on for too long before they settled down to rest. It was already late, after all, and any more activity would mean Lin Guo’er wouldn’t get any sleep at all.
The next morning, Lin Kuang was up just after five, a habit he’d long since formed.
After quickly washing up, he stepped out of the room and curiously surveyed the underground complex. Everyone in the Wumi Building recognized him, since Zhang Tianshun had already given his orders. No one paid him any mind as he moved about, an arrangement Lin Kuang was quite happy with.
After making a circuit of the underground space, Lin Kuang returned to his room.
By then, Lin Guo’er was also awake and getting ready in the bathroom.
Watching her graceful silhouette in the bathroom, he felt a familiar stirring of desire. If only I could, I’d love to go for another round or two. After all, Lin Guo’er is just too enchanting, and my body has its needs.
It took a full half-hour before Lin Guo’er finally finished.
"I was starting to think you were going to hide in there forever," Lin Kuang teased with a grin, his eyes appreciating her perfect, naked form.
"Nonsense. You know girls take longer to get ready," she retorted, her face flushing as she sat beside him and began to get dressed.
"Why don’t you just leave them off, Guo’er?" he said with a sly smile. "I think you look much prettier this way."
Lin Guo’er shot him a fierce glare. "You bastard, that’s all you ever think about! Save it for tonight." Saying that, she dressed with lightning speed, afraid that beast of a man would actually take liberties with her.
"What are you dressing so fast for? It’s not like I was actually going to do anything to you," Lin Kuang said with mock irritation as he watched her.
"Tch! You’re a beast, you’re capable of anything," Lin Guo’er huffed. "I have to keep my guard up around you."
"Oh? You’re calling me a beast?" Lin Kuang said, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "In that case, maybe I should act like one just this once." As he spoke, his mischievous hands waved back and forth in front of her, making her both shy and a little afraid.
