Chapter 261: Selvara Gives Revenge Permission
Inside the system movie, Violetta quietly watched as one piece of terrible news about Nolan spread after another.
Although she could not personally see Nolan’s reaction, she already knew that bastard had to be absolutely fucking furious.
Especially once he saw the mark she had deliberately included.
For several days, Violetta’s mood became better and better.
Every time she heard someone mention Nolan’s name with disgust instead of admiration, a faint, satisfied smile would appear on her face.
For her, every ruined piece of his reputation felt like repayment for what he had done to her.
A few days later, however, Violetta was unexpectedly summoned by Vivian again.
When she entered the room, she immediately noticed that Vivian was not alone.
Another woman was already sitting there.
Damian, who was watching the movie while chewing on roasted nuts, nearly stopped mid-bite.
His eyes widened. "Damn... Master?"
The woman sitting beside Vivian was none other than Selvara.
Damian leaned forward slightly, his expression quickly becoming serious. "It seems Nolan’s ruined reputation ended up dragging the Heavenly Sword Sect into this mess too."
Inside the movie, Violetta also froze.
Unlike Damian, however, she had no idea who the cold-looking woman sitting beside Vivian was.
The moment Selvara’s gaze settled on her, Violetta’s entire body stiffened.
An invisible pressure immediately descended.
HUMM...
Violetta’s face paled. Her legs trembled violently before she was forced down onto one knee.
Despite the terrifying pressure, she did not pass out. She gritted her teeth and stubbornly raised her head.
Selvara looked at her calmly. "So you’re the one who spread those stories."
Violetta breathed heavily but answered without hesitation. "Yes."
Her eyes carried unmistakable hatred. "I wanted to make sure that bastard Nolan suffered."
Selvara’s expression did not change.
Violetta stared back at her before her voice gradually became colder. "So who are you?"
Her fingers tightened against the floor. "You came here personally because of Nolan, so are you planning to kill me?"
Vivian remained seated off to the side, quietly watching without interfering.
Selvara finally answered. "I am Selvara, an elder of the Heavenly Sword Sect."
Violetta’s eyes shifted slightly.
Selvara continued, "At first, I did consider killing you."
The pressure around Violetta became slightly heavier. "What you did damaged my sect’s reputation along with Nolan’s."
Violetta’s fingers tightened further, but she stubbornly refused to lower her head.
Selvara observed her for several breaths. "However... Nolan was indeed the one... the bastard who ruined you first."
The pressure gradually weakened, and this made Violetta slightly able to move.
Selvara’s expression remained cold. "I have investigated the accusations surrounding him myself, and all those unsightly things were true."
Damian immediately leaned closer to the system movie. "Oh?"
Selvara continued, "Because of that, I won’t stop you from settling your grudge with him personally."
Violetta’s gaze sharpened.
Selvara added, "Once Nolan leaves the Sword Tomb, I can give you the opportunity to face him."
For the first time since entering the room, Violetta’s expression visibly changed.
Yet Selvara was not finished, and her voice became noticeably colder. "In exchange, end the news here."
Violetta frowned.
Selvara continued coldly, "The Heavenly Sword Sect’s reputation cannot continue bleeding because of one disciple’s bullshit."
For several breaths, Violetta remained silent.
She clearly did not like stopping when Nolan was still suffering, but she also understood that continuing would eventually turn the entire Heavenly Sword Sect against her.
In the end, she clenched her teeth. "Fine."
Selvara gave a faint nod. With the matter finally settled, she soon shifted her attention toward Vivian. "You trained her?"
Vivian smiled faintly. "No. It was my disciple, Rosa, who trained her, but she’s quite interesting, isn’t she?"
Selvara looked back toward Violetta.
The woman was still kneeling, yet even after being directly pressured by a powerful elder, there was hardly any fear in her eyes. Instead, they burned with anger and hatred.
Selvara gave a small nod. "Indeed. Not many women would dare take their revenge this far."
Vivian chuckled softly. "Of course. That’s exactly why I decided to help her."
Vivian turned toward Violetta. "You heard Selvara."
Violetta immediately looked toward her.
Vivian continued, "She’ll eventually give you a chance to personally deal with Nolan."
Vivian leaned back in her chair. "However... With your current strength, you’re far too weak."
Violetta frowned. Her fingers clenched again, yet this time she said nothing.
She knew Vivian was right. Hatred alone would not kill Nolan.
If Selvara truly placed her in front of him right now, Violetta would probably die before she could even properly take revenge.
Vivian watched her reaction for a moment. "Then let me ask you something. Do you want to train under me personally?"
The room became silent.
Even Rosa, who had remained nearby, looked toward Vivian with slight surprise.
Vivian continued calmly, "I can make you strong enough to stand before Nolan yourself."
A dangerous smile slowly appeared on her face. "Strong enough to kill that bastard with your own hands."
Violetta’s eyes immediately sharpened.
Vivian lifted one finger. "However, understand something first."
Her expression became unusually serious. "My training is harsh... very harsh. Plenty of talented women have tried it before, and many of them ended up begging to quit, so..."
Her eyes turned back to Violetta as her lips curved into a faint smile. "Do you still want to do it?"
Violetta did not hesitate for even a heartbeat. "As long as it gives me the strength to kill him... I’ll endure anything."
Vivian stared at her for a moment before smiling approvingly. "Good girl."
Selvara rose from her seat. "Then this matter is settled."
She looked toward Vivian, then Violetta. "I’ll return in two months."
Her gaze settled briefly on Violetta. "By then, make sure you’re actually strong enough to stand in front of Nolan."
Violetta slowly rose from her kneeling position, and her eyes burned with renewed determination. "I will be."
Selvara gave her one final look before turning and leaving the room.
Damian watched Selvara leave and immediately understood what would happen next.
He already knew Nolan’s path from the current world.
That bastard would enter the Sword Tomb, stumble upon his ridiculous protagonist opportunity, and eventually obtain the King Grade [Sunfall King Sword] along with the [Sunfall Heaven Sword Scripture].
Not wanting to waste any more time, he directly fast-forwarded two months to see what would happen if Damian never stopped Violetta from taking her revenge.
