"Hm... I thought you were annoying bastard... But you seem quiet extremely durable too, despise being a full mage." – said Phantasia as outside the battel between monster and the mage continued... Or so it seemed.

While Maparapara just finished her fourth round inside of the dungeon, the battle between the two players seemingly appeared to be over.

As the giant monster towered over the wounded chain wielding mage.

"F-fuck." – said Apple as he tried standing up.

(This is far worse than I’ve imagined.) – thought Apple as his HP was dangerously low.

(I knew I wouldn’t stand a chance against him... But was he really that strong!?)

([Chaos Researcher].)

(A class he reveled existence of when he fought Arthur.)

(A class that allows to create other classes.)

(Honestly, I thought that he had obtained the first ever divinity in the class, since the "Doctor" was present from the very start of the game.)

(But I can tell that it wasn’t divinity.)

[The Divinity Of Chains And Punishment is reacting to presence of another divinity.]

(He has divinity now!)

[The Divinity Of Oasis And Beauty is reacting to presence of another divinity.]

(Huh... Didn’t knew that it can work this way.) – thought Phantasia.

(So, the divinities can resonate with each other, revealing if you are facing the divinity user of the elder god or not.)

(It doesn’t really work like radar... But still-)

(It is a useful thing.) – thought Phantasia and Apple stood up, getting ready to fight once more his opponent.

(Fuck! I know I can’t win this! But I can still hold him down here for a moment!) – thought Apple as he started calling forth a massive number of chains from his body, aiming to restrain Phantasia.

"Wait." – said Apple to himself as he stopped himself from unleashing his attack.

(Why isn’t he fighting alongside his monsters?) – thought alarmed Apple as he realized that Phantasia did not even once summoned his monster to his side.

(True! He did placed a good number of monsters around the cave, but that guy can command a freaking army!)

(Controlling army of monsters is one of his specialties and he definitely getting some kind of power ups if he is fighting alongside them!)

(So why is he-)

"!?"

"FUCK!" – Apple looked towards the cave, realizing that it was a trap.

Apple tried instantly launching himself towards the cave, but he was forced to instead block incoming massive mist that came his way, smashing into his barrier of chains.

The attack was blocked, but the impact sent Apple flying, forcefully moving him away from the cave.

"Out of teleports, are we?" – said Phantasia as Apple quickly used his chains to pull himself away as the massive claws came down and devastated the entire instantly.

(WE GOT TRICKED!) – thought Apple as a sound of the explosives could be heard coming from the cave, confirming the chain user’s worries.

"IT’S A FUCKING TRAP!" – shouted S.M as he and the other players were met up with skill traps, set up traps and even a group of elite monsters that were waiting inside of the cave.

(This cave was never fucking temple!) – thought Apple and S.M the same thing while both of them faced.

(HE WAS SETTING UP A FUCKING TRAP FOR US!)

Phantasia plan was simple.

Stall and trap.

He stalled the enemy by making them believe that he found out the temple’s location.

He forced the enemy to reveal themselves and try to force Phantasia to fight them in order for the candidate for divinity to break through his defenses and enter the cave.

But the moment they went in, the bomb skills and item bombs that Phantasia set up were activated, blasting the invaders, while also revealing a hidden monsters that were located at the very end of the cave, while also the serpent insect monster that were hidden in the ground had revealed themselves.

Obviously, Phantasia knew that the people inside of the cave will escape, he couldn’t put up entire army of monsters in there and the trap was set up in a rush, meaning that the whole bobby trapped cave plan wasn’t perfect from the get go.

However, it will stop them long enough for Phantasia to finish off Apple.

(BUT WHY WAS HE STALLING!?) – thought Apple as trying to fight Phantasia, however something was different.

The battle flow was way different.

Phantasia was gaining upper hand and as the battle progressed, Apple also noticed the mad man summoning his monsters.

Apple quickly realized the truth.

Phantasia was fighting to stall him.

But now he was fighting to eliminate him.

He knew that Apple’s comrades were nearby and that they would aim to enter the temple while Phantasia was at the worst possible spot.

That is why he sent up this trap.

To eliminate them right here and now.

However, there was still one question in Apple’s mind.

Why was he stalling?

"!"

(OH! YOU MOTHERFUCKER!) – and then it hit Apple, just as he was hit with a massive fist.

(HE ALREADY DISCOVERED THE TEMPLE’S LOCATION!) – thought Apple as he saw a massive fist coming his way.

(From the very start, he wasn’t here to stop us from reaching the temple! He just wanted us to stall us for his own companion to conquer the temple!)

(WE GOT FREAKING PLAYED!)

[Meanwhile: Maparapara]

"FUCK YOU!" – shouted Maparapara at the remains of the lava monster.

"And fuck you!" - shouted Maparapara as she pointed at the warrior.

"One of the fuckers you had prepared were in case somebody tries to do this solo?!"

"This is the test." – said warrior as he was sitting on his throne.

"You cannot expect any mercy from it." – said warrior as he tapped the ground with his polearm, causing the restorative effect to kick in and heal up Maparapara.

"...But still. Fuck you." – said pissed off slime.

(Honestly speaking, this was way too hard counter for me, because of that bullshit agility.) – thought Maparapara.

(But then again, if I wasn’t a tank, that second form would had been enough to butcher me.)

(So what? You needed to have both high defense and high agility to get butchered?)

(Fuck me.)

(But seriously, that attack damage was bullshit! Even without a multiplier, it still hurt a lot!)

(If it wasn’t for those cannon shields that Phantasia made me, there was a good chance that I may had lost to them.)

(Honestly speaking, I’m worried about the final boss.)

(If the fourth boss had that kind of bullshit gimmick, then I’m somewhat worried about facing the final guy.)

(But then again, the enemy must be already here, searching for the temple... I can’t fail here.)

(No matter what!)

"Recovery complete." – said warrior as Maparapara was recovered and the entire metallic area was returned to its original state.

"Are you ready for the final round?"

"Yeah. Let’s get this over with." – said Maparapara.

"Very well then." – said warrior as the fifth gate opened up.

"..."

"?"

"Em... Where is the enemy?" – asked Maparapara as he warrior stood up and then jumped down right into the area.

"Oh... So that is that kind of development?" – said Maparapara as she raised up her shields.

"Yes. It is." – said the warrior as the purple lava started pouring out from the final gate, before then merging with the warrior’s body, causing the priest of the god of pure destruction to start mutating, growing in size and changing form.

(Welp, I kind of thought he would be a final boss here, since his name was warrior.) – thought Maparapara as the lava creature’s body grown in size, becoming at least 2.5 meters tall, just like the duel.

As for its appearance, it looked like in somewhat similar manner to the duel too, with the rock like armor covered up the entire surface of the creature’s body.

As for its polearm, it too changed, becoming a massive halberd, while at the same time the lava creature was equipped with massive round shield, wielding two massive weapons in each hand.

(He looks similar to the duel... His armor is far more spiker though.) – thought Maparapara.

"I shall show no mercy." – said warrior.

"Well, if you like, you can." – said Maparapara.

"Since it will make killing you much more easier!" – said Maparapara as the battle began.

But neither sides really took a first step.

"..."

(Fucker.) – thought Maparapara.

(Honestly this isn’t good.)

(All this that guy was watching the fights from above.)

(He knows what skills I have and what not.)

(If he is really like duel... Then he must had learned how to deal with me too.)

The warrior made his move.

But it wasn’t anything like attack or him running towards his opponent.

No.

He just walked slowly towards the slime.

And in response, Maparapara did the same.

She didn’t knew what the warrior was doing... But even so, she decided to move forward.

Neither side ran or attacked... They just walked slowly.

Maybe they were waiting for the other side to make their first move?

Who knows.... But-

Nothing was going on.

They just walked.

And after a while, they reached the middle of the area.

Where the two fighters met face to face.
