Chapter 699 - 698: The First Rule of Pursuing a Wife (42)
In the entire city of Creston, the only one who can hit President Sinclair like this is Old Master Sinclair.
Old Master Sinclair is indeed getting on in years; he can’t compete with young people’s strength.
Damian Sinclair grabbed his cane and said, "Do I not care about my face, old man? Let me tell you, if you keep waving your cane at me in front of Bella, watch out, I might turn against you."
"You brat, what’s the big deal about losing face in front of your wife?" Old Master Sinclair glared, "Do you still want to keep suppressing Young Acker, bullying her or something."
Damian Sinclair let go of his cane with a sigh, "Don’t you want your woman to always admire you?"
Having your woman always admire you does seem pretty nice.
Old Master Sinclair nodded, "Fine, I won’t hit you in front of Young Acker anymore."
"It’s not just about not hitting me in front of Bella, but never hitting me at all," Damian Sinclair said. "What would it look like if others saw you waving your cane at me?"
"You brat, you think I’m clueless enough to hit you in front of others?" the old man rolled his eyes, propping on his cane as he walked out, waving his hand, "All right, just do what you’re supposed to do, don’t stand here blocking my view."
"I’ll take you home," Damian Sinclair followed alongside.
"You brat, you’ve lost the right to take me home. Someday, when you win back your granddaughter-in-law, then you can take me back," the old man waved his hand and walked ahead. The bodyguard immediately opened an umbrella to shade him from the sun, escorting him to the car outside the community.
Damian Sinclair was also helpless; he wanted to win her back immediately, but Bella clearly doesn’t want to reconcile with him now. He has to take it step by step.
Moreover, Bella’s personality has changed quite a bit, and if he pushes too hard, she might not want to see him at all, which would be counterproductive.
The old man really gets more impatient with age.
Damian Sinclair sighed and still followed behind. Another bodyguard opened an umbrella and walked beside him, shading him from the sun.
When they reached the community gate, watching the old man leave in a black Bentley, he then got into his own car and drove back to the company.
The guard at the community gate watched the two luxury cars drive away and thought of the manner in which the two had left. He couldn’t help but mutter, "Could it be that this place is going to be demolished, and government officials were here for a site inspection? This is quite the spectacle."
Ten days later, Bella Acker joined the "I Will Not Be a Concubine" crew to start filming.
Since the crew was at the Film City, she couldn’t return to Creston while filming and could only video chat with Talia and Ethan every day. However, the two kids had heavy schoolwork too, with only some time after dinner in the evening.
After Bella Acker joined the crew, she was busy filming. About half a month later, the second female lead joined, and Bella Acker found out that the actress playing the most villainous role in the drama was actually Rhonda.
Rhonda came with her manager, three assistants, plus two makeup artists. When she saw Bella Acker resting in the lounge area, she walked up smiling, "Sister Acker, it’s been years. You’re getting prettier."
Bella Acker barely visibly frowned, unfolding a smile before anyone noticed, stood up, and shook Rhonda’s hand, "Rhonda, long time no see. Congratulations on your nomination for Best Actress last year."
"I’m still not as good as Sister Acker. If it were you, you’d definitely win the Best Actress award." Rhonda’s smile was sincere, but her words seemed complimentary while setting up opposition for Bella Acker.
