Chapter 648 - 647: Reunion (43)
Faced with his sudden question, the little girl thought for a moment and seriously answered, "Daddy is definitely better looking, but Uncle is also very handsome."
Damian paused for a moment as he was helping her take off her shoes, then asked, "When you returned to the country, why didn’t your dad come back with you?"
"Um... Uncle, why do you keep asking about my dad?" The little girl tilted her head and looked at him.
Damian suddenly felt embarrassed as if the little girl had seen through him, and changed the topic while taking off her shoes, "That’s enough."
The little girl, who had been very excited just now, was now holding her arms, staring at him with big round eyes.
After a moment, the little girl asked, "Uncle, do you like my mommy?"
Damian’s heart skipped a beat, and he acted calm saying, "Kids shouldn’t think too much. Do you still want to catch fish? Look, there’s a small fish swimming over there, do you want to catch it?"
"Yes."
After all, the little girl was a child and could be easily distracted. Seeing the little fish swimming among the small water plants, she immediately raised her hand excitedly.
Damian held her shoulders and said, "Walk lightly, the fish will swim away when it hears the noise."
"Okay, okay." The little girl fixated on the tiny carp wagging its tail, tiptoeing in the water.
The fish in this creek flowed out from a reservoir, and because Director Ford had contracted the area to plant sunflowers in the past two years, no one else had come to catch fish in the creek, making the fish bolder.
The little girl quietly approached the fish and stretched out her small hands into the water to catch it.
With a splash, the fish struggled and swam away from between her hands.
"Giggle!" The little girl laughed happily, even though she didn’t catch the fish.
Watching her smile, Damian’s heart softened and he couldn’t help but gently rub the top of her head.
Meanwhile, the tents had already been set up, and the two assistants went to the car to get the prepared barbecue ingredients.
Bella’s foot had almost stopped hurting, so she grabbed the ingredients and went to the creek with Sharon to wash them.
"Mommy, there are so many little fish!" The little girl stood in the shallow creek and happily said, turning back.
"Did you catch any?" Bella asked with a smile, not minding that the little girl’s sleeves and dress were quite wet in places.
"Yes, Uncle helped me put them over there." The little girl smiled sweetly, "I’m going to catch some to give to Mommy, Uncle, Grandma, Grandpa, and those two uncles too."
The two assistants who had come to get the vegetables were moved to tears when they heard they had a share and all laughed together, "Thank you, Princess Talia."
"Not a princess, I’m a little elf." Talia giggled.
The two assistants were puzzled, and Bella burst into laughter, "It’s not the kind of elf you’re thinking about, it’s the kind from the fairy kingdom."
The two assistants blushed, feeling that their minds were indeed too dirty at this moment. Who said elves had to be the kind of pillow talk? The adult world is really filthy, but our Talia’s world is pure and lovely.
Sharon laughed, "You two stop standing there stunned, quickly take the washed vegetables back and let Ethan and Old Ford skewer them and start grilling."
"Got it." The two assistants looked at the little girl together, "Talia, what do you like to eat? Uncle will grill it for you."
It sounded amusing to hear a man in his thirties talk like a child.
"Potatoes!" Talia raised her hand and then looked at Damian, "Uncle, what do you like to eat?"
