The police lifted the bag-snatcher and took him away. Seeing there was no more drama to watch, the crowd dispersed.

Only then did Damian Sinclair turn his head back and say, "You don’t pay attention to your surroundings when you walk?"

Bella Acker sighed; how could she have known she would encounter a bag-snatcher right after returning home? Plus, she had been a bit distracted by memories earlier and hadn’t noticed someone approaching behind her.

"Mr. Sinclair, let me take you to the pharmacy to treat your wound first." Bella Acker didn’t want to dwell on this topic and shifted to the wound.

"Whatever." Damian Sinclair glanced at the top of her head, turned his gaze away, and replied.

The two hadn’t walked far before they saw the pharmacy mentioned by the passerby. Inside, someone appeared to be preparing to close up, busy tidying things.

"Excuse me, could you help us bandage a wound?"

"Huh? We’re already off duty," the busy pharmacy staff looked at them and said, "Besides, we don’t deal with wounds."

Bella Acker frowned, "Do you at least have iodine, bandages, and medicines for external injuries?"

"We do have those," the employee took out the three items from the shelf, along with a pack of cotton swabs, "Do you need these too?"

"Yes, I need them." Bella Acker nodded, took out her wallet, "Could you tally up the price for me?"

"That’s 46.8 in total. Are you paying with cash or through social security card? Do you have our point card?"

"No, cash please." Bella Acker handed over a fifty.

The clerk returned the change, put everything neatly into a small plastic bag for her.

"Thanks." Bella Acker thanked them and exited the pharmacy with the items.

Damian Sinclair stood at the door. Bella Acker said, "They can’t bandage wounds here, I’ll give you basic treatment first, then head to the hospital."

His wound was still bleeding, the scarf tied around it was showing a hint of red. The sight was shocking to Bella Acker, and her heart couldn’t help but tremble.

"You’re afraid of blood, I’ll do it myself." Seeing her pale, furrowed brow, Damian Sinclair regretted getting that cut.

With this thought, Damian Sinclair clicked his tongue against his teeth.

"Sit down, I’ll handle it." Bella Acker pointed to the bench in the square, hesitated, then tugged his suit sleeve, leading him over.

Damian Sinclair lowered his gaze to the pale fingers gripping his sleeve, exerting great restraint not to flip his hand and hold it.

Sitting on the long bench, Bella Acker crouched in front of him, carefully unwrapping the scarf covering the wound.

Her movements were gentle, trying her best to avoid pulling the wound when removing the scarf.

The bag-snatcher’s slash was severe, leaving the wound both lengthy and rather deep.

"I’ll use iodine to clean and disinfect the wound first. It might sting a bit, bear with it." Bella Acker bit her lower lip, dipped a cotton swab in iodine, and cautiously cleaned the blood around his wound.

Damian Sinclair watched her serious yet cautious expression, raising his other hand slightly, wanting to touch her hair.

Five years had passed, everyone hid her whereabouts from him, and he thought she’d never return.

Fortunately, she finally came back.

Suddenly, Damian Sinclair extended his arm, wrapped it around her neck, and pulled her close to him.

Bella Acker’s body stiffened abruptly. After a brief pause, she started to struggle, "Mr. Sinclair..."

"Don’t move, the wound hurts terribly." Damian Sinclair held her tightly, burying his head in her neck, talking in a muffled voice.
