Chapter 624 - 623: Reunion (19)
In the past, Bella Acker would have a change of expression not only when faced with her brother’s sarcasm but even when he pulled a long face.
But now, Bella seemed like a completely different person, handling her brother’s deliberate troubles with ease.
Can five years really change a person this much?
Bea felt very shocked; not only her, but Sandra Woods beside her was also surprised.
Damian Sinclair heard Bella Acker’s somewhat flattering response and felt like a bomb was dropped in his heart, but his face remained calm. "I don’t mind the inconvenience during the meal. Ms. Acker, please sit back down."
She had already moved her utensils away, and now he was asking her to sit back. Wasn’t he intentionally stirring things up?
Bella didn’t move, and Damian continued, "What? Was Ms. Acker lying just now?"
"Of course not." Bella smiled and really moved her utensils back to the original spot.
Damian cast a lukewarm glance and finally said nothing more.
Archer Quinn picked up his utensils and said, "I’ll call the waiter to add two more dishes."
"Isn’t there already so much food? No need to order more." Bea had already eaten, and she merely came in to create an opportunity for her brother; she really had no intention of eating anything.
Besides, looking at her brother, who seemed to be acting crazy now, he probably wouldn’t eat either.
Archer looked at Bella Acker.
Bella said, "I don’t know what kind of dishes Mr. Sinclair likes or if there are any dietary restrictions. Why don’t we have the waiter bring in a menu for him to choose from?"
Could she not know what he likes to eat or if he has any taboos?
By saying this, she was clearly intending to irritate him!
Damian’s gaze deepened, and he said, "No need to add dishes. Whatever Ms. Acker eats, I’ll eat."
Archer frowned, "Damian Sinclair, today we’re here to welcome Bella. If you don’t enjoy being here, then don’t stay. It’s as if if you’re unhappy, then everyone else will be too."
Damian kept his face somber and didn’t speak.
Bella stood up, tugged on Archer’s arm, and gently shook her head, "Senior Quinn..."
Archer calmed his anger, "I’m going to the restroom." Then he opened the private room door and walked out.
Bea glanced at Damian, then at Bella, and stood up to follow Archer, "Wait for me, I’m going too."
The door closed. Julian Jennings asked Sandra, "I’m going to check the car at the entrance, want to come with me?"
"I..." Sandra initially wanted to say she wouldn’t go, but Julian wasn’t really asking for her opinion. He finished his sentence and forcibly led her out of the room.
Everyone left, leaving just Bella Acker and Damian Sinclair in the private room.
Bella squeezed her palm, trying her best to act naturally.
Damian picked up his chopsticks and asked, "Which dish are you eating?"
They had been busy drinking just now, and indeed hadn’t really eaten much.
Bella moved the lazy Susan slightly and said, "No one has touched these three dishes, Mr. Sinclair. You can eat them without worry."
"Which dish are you eating?" Damian repeated the question, not picking up any food.
Bella let out an almost imperceptible sigh; they hadn’t seen each other for five years, and his aura was even sharper and dominating as always.
"I’m the only one eating the five-spice roll and jade bamboo spring." To accommodate her love for spicy food, only these two dishes had extra chili. Both Sandra and Archer didn’t eat much spicy food.
Before her voice even fell, Damian directly turned the dishes to himself and started eating.
