Damian stood up and walked towards the door, saying indifferently, "Mr. Hayes, I have no interest in answering idiotic questions."

Aiden Hayes touched his nose, realizing he had been impulsive to ask such a question, "Alright, once you’ve got Bella’s signature, send my copy of the contract to the hotel where I’m staying now."

"Sure." Damian said as he opened the meeting room door, "Mr. Hayes, take care." With that, he left on his own.

Aiden Hayes rolled his eyes and muttered, "What on earth does Bella see in this guy? So lacking in gentlemanly manners." With that, he also left the meeting room.

Meanwhile, Bella Acker and the others finally took the old man to Serenity Road.

"Old sir... old sir, we’re here." Bella Acker gently nudged the old man.

The old man frowned, "Mrs. Miller, what time is it?"

"Uh?" Bella Acker was puzzled, "Old sir, it’s almost noon."

"Is Damian coming home for lunch today?" The old man opened his eyes and, upon suddenly seeing Bella Acker next to him, quickly regained his senses and chuckled, "Ah, I was confused from my nap, thought I was at home. It’s been so long since Damian was home to have a meal with this old man."

"Old sir, don’t be sad. Once he’s done with his work, he’ll definitely come back to accompany you." Bella Acker comforted.

"Young people are always busy, busy, busy. No matter how much money you make, if your loved ones are gone, what’s the point?" The old man sighed, "I, this old fellow, don’t have much time left. Counting the days, I won’t see him many more times... sigh..."

"Of course not," Bella Acker said, "You’re so full of energy, you’ll surely live a long life."

"Haha, young Acker still knows how to sweet-talk." The old man laughed, "Young Acker, it’s almost noon anyway, why not stay and have lunch with this old man?"

"Uh..." Bella Acker hesitated a bit.

"Ah, I know I must be bothersome, even young Acker doesn’t want to have a meal with me." The old man looked dejectedly as he reached for the car door.

Bella Acker sighed, "Old sir, I can have lunch with you, but I really have things to do in the afternoon. You can’t pretend to be pitiable to keep me here, okay? If you promise, Judy Zimmerman and I will have lunch with you."

"Okay, okay, okay." The old man nodded gleefully, "I knew young Acker wouldn’t be able to leave this old man alone."

Bella Acker could tell the old man was pretending to be pitiable, but thinking of how lonely he actually was at home, she softened, remembering Aunt Sienna.

"Piggy, park the car in the temporary spot by the road. We’ll have lunch with the old man and then leave."

"Okay." Judy Zimmerman nodded in agreement.

Bella Acker helped the old man out of the car. Judy Zimmerman drove and parked in a temporary spot by the road, as someone came to collect the parking fee.

The old man said, "Young Acker, there’s a market right next door. Let’s go buy some groceries. What do you want to eat?"

"I’m fine with anything. Whatever you feel like eating, we’ll buy it." Bella Acker said with a smile.

"Oh dear, young Acker really is a filial child." The old man became more fond of Bella Acker the more he looked at her, his face creased with a smile.

Judy Zimmerman parked the car and joined them, and the three of them went to the neighborhood farmer’s market to buy groceries and carry them home.

Bella Acker put down her bag, ready to roll up her sleeves and cook, but the old man stopped her, "Young Acker, don’t move. Watch Grandpa make you a delicious meal."
