What Do You Mean I Have To Comprehend Dao As A Mortal God?

Chapter 218: Guardians Need Some Attention Too

"Are you really sure you’re not fully awakened?"

"Yes, I’m sure."

"Really sure?"

"Really sure."

"Really, really, sure?"

"Really, really sure."

"Are you really, really, really--"

"Look, the fact that I don’t even know which god I’m supposed to be means I’m not fully awakened yet, ok?" I sighed, feeling a little exasperated but the constant questioning coming from the two women.

After we wiped out the entire valley of Anomalies, we let the Guardians fight a few of the Anomalies that we encountered as well just to let them blow off some steam.

But if it had to say anything, I doubt anyone was satisfied because of how weak the Anomalies were compared to what we had needed to deal with before.

We eventually returned to the portal and left the area to head back to the hotel.

And these two have not stopped questioning throughout the entire car ride asking how I managed to do what I did.

Even though I might have a sexual relationship with the two of them, I did not forget the fact that they were still technically rival Mortal Gods and thus, people whom I probably wouldn’t want to know about my full capabilities.

So I’ve been quite vague about it and just told them that it was one of my skills that I was able to use and wasn’t really sure about the full details of, which was technically kind of true in a way since I got the floating arms from an Anomaly and not a skill I awakened.

But even with that, they weren’t satisfied and kept asking questions after questions, making me wonder if it would have been a better idea if I had chosen to just ride on Leena’s back alongside my Guardians.

Thankfully, the car reached the hotel before they could ask anymore and we filed out of the vehicle where several staff members of the hotel were quick to rush out to welcome us back.

As we headed into the hotel lobby, there was a soft growling sound coming from behind and all of us turned to look at the source of the noise, only to see everyone else looking at Dan.

He shrugged, "What? The last time we ate was lunch. What did you expect?"

Ah... That’s true.

One of the hotel staff immediately responded, "The lounge is open for food service, Divine Ones... That is... If you would like to?"

My Guardians all turned to look at me, clearly leaving the decision to me.

I shrugged, "I don’t mind. Let’s go. Not like we have anywhere else we can eat right? Unless you’re planning to order delivery or something."

Diana and Siti both shared a look before turning to their own Guardians.

"We’re going up to eat as well, girls."

"Go wash up first and head upstairs for dinner~"

Their Guardians did not argue and we headed over to the lift lobby where we would first go back to our rooms to wash off the grime from the rift before we headed up to the lounge for dinner.

I chose to wear something simple this time and left my room to find Olivia and Ava already dressed and waiting for me, as though both of them knew the exact time I would leave my room somehow.

"My Lord. Are you heading up now?" Olivia asked.

I nodded, "Yeah. I was thinking whether it would be a good idea for me to go without my mask and pretend I’m a Guardian instead of the Mortal God?"

Ava gave me a giggle, "Ufufufu~ That certainly would be bold, my Divine. But even I think it’s not a good idea for the others to see your face. I don’t trust those two harlots who keep sticking themselves so close to you."

Ok... I think calling them harlots is a little bit too much though... But I can at least understand why...

And also, I can’t really defend them after how much I fucked them in my soul space... Those two were really insatiable and I’m pretty sure we would have kept going if it wasn’t for the fact that I remembered where we were.

I shrugged, "Fine... I won’t take it off..."

Olivia then straightened herself, "And my Lord... This might be presumptuous of me but please sit with us instead of those two."

Oh? I’m not sure if I was imagining it... But I think I detected a little bit of jealousy coming from Olivia.

I suppose I haven’t really been giving my Guardians much attention ever since those two kept sticking themselves to me...

I mean... I haven’t even slept with either Olivia or Avatasia ever since coming here, you know?

In my defense, it’s only been a single day so far...

They took up my left and right and escorted me over to the lift lobby where we ascended to the top floor where the lounge was.

Incidentally, they were standing really close to me with their bodies pressed up against me, almost like they were doing their best to sandwich me or something.

The elevator reached the top floor with a soft ’ding’ and we stepped out at the same time, the three of them still squeezing themselves against me.

The staff who was positioned to greet all the newcomers stepping out of the lift immediately stiffened up and her eyes widened considerably when she noticed me.

She quickly bowed at a perfect ninety degree angle, "Wel... Welcome, Divine One!!"

Olivia was already scanning the rest of the floor to search for threats while Ava had wrapped her arm around mine as though to make a statement about our relationship.

She smiled politely at the server, "Ara? Are we the first ones here?"

The staff member straightened herself again, "Ye... Yes! We... We were already informed that... That Divine Ones and their Guardians will be coming here to have their meals... So please go right ahead!"

"Ufufufu~ It’s free seating I take it?"

"Ye... Yes! Please go right ahead!"

Just as I could feel Olivia and Ava trying to pull me into the lounge area, two elevators behind us let out soft pings, prompting us to turn around.

Siti and Diana stepped out, both of them looking like they were fresh out of the bath and wearing comfortable, casual clothes.

Incidentally, they came alone without their Guardians, probably because everyone else was still washing up.

In fact, I’m surprised Olivia and Ava finished cleaning up faster than I did which made me believe these two relied on Ava’s magic to do so.

I was suddenly stuck in the middle as the two groups of women stared at each other and the air was suddenly charged with tension.

Olivia was staring at Diana who was also staring back at her with a rather weird smile on her face.

Inversely, Ava was smiling at Siti who was simply staring back at the Alv with an expressionless face.

I could hear the staff member letting out a distressed squeak at the sight while the four women were shooting invisible sparks at each other through their eyes.

The tension was suddenly broken when I cleared my throat, causing all four sets of eyes to shift towards me.

"Ahem... Should we... Go in and eat?"

That seemed to shatter the glass as the two Mortal goddesses moved towards me.

Diana grinned, "Right, of course! Let’s go and eat. And of course, the three of us should be sitting together right? It’s only normal!"

Siti also nodded beside her, "Yes. We still have things to discuss. Especially about what you did at the end with the Anomalies just now."

I didn’t even get to say anything before Olivia moved to wrap her arm around mine, mirroring Ava who was doing the same thing on my other arm.

"I’m afraid my Lord will be dining with us instead. We have to review our performance today with him," Olivia stated as a matter of factly.

I could hear the sharp intakes of breaths coming from the other staff members that were peeking around the corner.

I would also just like to point out the fact that both Olivia and Ava were really, really tall... And both Siti and Diana were around my height so it was literally a case of my two Guardians looking down at the two Mortal Goddesses.

Yet even with that, it didn’t feel like my Guardians had the upper hand at all and I had the image of four feral cats hissing at each other manifested behind each girl.

The tension came back and it was so thick that you could cut it as the four women all stared unflinchingly at each other without blinking.

Once again, I had to shatter the tension as I cleared my throat forcing them to look away again.

"We can... Share a table? There’s definitely a table for five right?" I asked, looking back at the server.

"Y... Yes!! Ri... Right this way!" She squeaked.

Ok... Now... Please don’t try to kill each other...
