"You did it?"

"Yes, that’s what I said."

"Really?"

"Really."

"Was there really a bomb?"

"Yes. At where I said it was."

"Hmm... Was it a really big bomb?"

"Very big."

"Bigger than the bomb in your pants?"

I sucked in a breath and stared pointedly at Diana who was wiggling her eyebrows at me.

I managed to hold myself back at the last moment from reaching out to smack her head because those kinds of jokes were usually made by my sister so I almost instinctively went to hit her.

Thankfully, no one else was around us right now so the only person who heard her was Siti whose response was to giggle at her.

I turned to look behind us where my Guardians were talking to the suited people and giving them an account of what we found in the water pump room and also what I did with the bomb we found.

I’ve already given them my account of what happened on my end which was why they were now occupied with my Guardians instead.

I was actually a little worried that they wouldn’t believe me and ask for evidence or something, but apparently they did not even question me and just accepted what I said as the truth.

Then again... I did bring back the corpses of the two security guards so it should be a good enough indicator that I was telling the truth. Unless... They think we were the ones who killed them...

Siti wiped the tear away from the corner of her eye before smiling at me, "So what actually happened?"

I shrugged, "I told you girls, they had a bomb set up in the water pump room and it was set to go off to bring the entire hotel down."

"Was it really that big of a bomb?"

I nodded, "Really big. I reckon that if it had gone off, the entire building would have come down. And if we hadn’t been here, we would have most likely been back in our rooms and the bomb would have brought the entire building down with us at the top."

"Hmm... How did you know that? Was it really big?" Diana asked, tilting her head at me quizzically.

"Well... I did watch it go off after all..."

Both of them blinked at me.

Siti gave me an odd look"But... Wasn’t the bomb supposed to go off in thirty minutes? It’s not even been twenty yet?"

I shook my head, "Either that thing was showing a false timer... Or me opening the door to the water pump room caused the timer to jump to a lower number. Because when I stepped inside the water pump room, there were less than ten seconds left."

Both of them widened their eyes and pressed themselves against me.

"Where did you put the bomb?!"

"How did you deal with it?!"

I raised my hands placatingly, "I teleported it away. Specifically, I teleported it to the rift we went to the day before."

"Wait... You can teleport?!" Diana gasped.

"Err... Apparently, yes."

Siti took another step towards me, "That is so unfair!! Teleport us to Japan right now!!"

"Umm... It has to be places I’ve visited before..."

"Bullshit! You’re telling me you’ve never been to Japan before?! Don’t lie to me!" Diana accused, pointing a finger at me.

I had to take another step back since they were practically pushed up against me right now before I spoke, "Specifically... I can only teleport to places that I have been to after awakening this power... And I haven’t been to Japan ever since I awakened this power, ok?"

Diana clucked her tongue at me, "Useless power."

I rolled my eyes, knowing that she was just joking about it but chose not to comment on it.

Siti tried to bring the topic back, "So you teleported the bomb directly into the rift?"

"Ah, I can’t teleport directly into a rift either. I teleported us outside the portal and jumped into it with the bomb before throwing it as far away as I could. It was already a speck in the sky when it exploded but the shockwave still managed to reach me."

"The base camp is fine, right?"

"Yeah. I shielded it from the shockwave so there was no damage. The Gatekeeper is still alive too."

Diana smirked at me, "Seems like you had a pretty explosive night hmm?"

Just a quick reminder... This girl spewing all these innuendos becomes really docile and submissive when we actually do the act. The one who would actually get aggressive and is really assertive in sex is the other girl who is acting all quiet right now.

I rolled my eyes at her and chose not to dignify her comment with a response.

Instead, I tried to change the topic by nodding in the direction of the suit wearing people, "I’ve been meaning to ask this but... Who are those people?"

The two girls followed my gaze and Siti was the one who answered, "People from the Rift Management Bureau. I’m guessing they already got tipped off that those terrorists would be here so they also came here to intercept them. Too bad they were just a little late though."

Diana shrugged, "Well... To be fair, they only care about keeping Mortal Gods safe and these guys didn’t come here to shoot us up to begin with."

I then realised something, "Hmm... Speaking of which... What were those terrorists trying to achieve by coming here to shoot the delegates? I thought their main goal was to get rid of Mortal Gods? They could have just planted the bomb and left without us knowing and blew up the entire place."

Siti hummed, "It’s just a guess... But assuming we hadn’t stayed in the hall and went back up to our rooms... Once we heard that the delegates had been attacked, we would most likely be asked to stay in our rooms and have our Guardians guard us."

I immediately understood after that, "Right... Then we wouldn’t leave the hotel while we still aren’t sure if it’s safe... Which would ensure that we would still be in the hotel when the bomb goes off."

Diana clucked her tongue, "These people really have nothing better to do with their lives huh?"

I chuckled, "That’s one way to put it... What happened to them anyway?"

"They took them away after you told them the bomb was dealt with. I suspect they would be questioned even further to find out where their base of operations is. Though I’m pretty sure if they were smart enough, the people in the base would have already cleared out by now."

I turned to look at my Guardians who were still talking to the people in suits, "I doubt we would be staying here after this, are we?"

Siti shrugged, "We’ll probably be moved somewhere else instead. Maybe even put on the next flight back home, actually."

Diana shook her head, "I overheard them talking about moving us to another hotel so we’re staying another night here. They think it’s too risky for us to be flown out so soon since they might also anticipate us being evacuated from the country itself and lie in wait to sabotage our planes. They’re going to do a sweep of the planes before letting us use them."

I raised an eyebrow, "You two have private planes?"

"Mmhmm. Don’t you?"

"Nope... I’m still flying commercials. Probably because I’ve only awakened recently and they hadn’t set one aside specifically for me yet."

Siti hummed, "At least you can teleport right? You just need to fly to places you’ve never been and after that you can just teleport back and forth. That’s so convenient. You could even just go back home right now."

Hmm... I suppose I could... But honestly, I want to explore around Sydney first, you know? I came all the way here after all, it would be a waste to just go back without at least exploring the place.

I’m pretty sure my Guardians also think the same as well.

While I was thinking about that, Charlotte and two others wearing formal suits came up to us, which made me remember that they were our representatives.

The three of them bowed low with Charlotte leading them.

"Divine Ones, we apologise deeply for what has happened tonight. We bear all blame for letting this happen. For your safety, we will be moving you to another hotel. We have also prepared decoys in case these terrorists are still trying to target you. The three of you will be staying at different hotels--"

""Rejected,"" Both Diana and Siti spoke out at the same time, surprising Charlotte.

Diana jerked her thumb towards Siti and I, "Put us in the same hotel, no objections."

To her credit, Charlotte only paused for a moment before she bowed again, "Understood, Divine Ones... We shall make the arrangements. Please be ready to move out of here in the next hour."

Right... Guess we have to pack up again.
