Chapter 1550: Attached
After being dragged away, Lin Fan didn’t say anything.
But that didn’t matter as the rest of the group was silent as well.
Since they couldn’t create this safe zone inside of this law enforcement zone, it meant that there was no place for them to stay inside of the main part of the Dao Sect.
With the dangers that lurked around the corners here, it really was hard to tell what would happen to them. Without the safe zone, it was likely that they would be swallowed by the dangers that were here.
It was even dangerous enough to threaten the elders that were stronger than them.
"Do we go back?" Lin Fan was the one that broke the silence by suggesting this.
Neither Ye Qing Huan nor Xiao Mu replied to this, but it didn’t seem like they were rejecting his suggestion. After all, they knew that it was a very feasible idea that he was suggesting.
The main reason that they had even been able to make it this far in this law enforcement pavilion was all because of the token that Lin Fan possessed. But that token didn’t have enough power on its own.
The power that this token possessed came from the authority that it had received from the different tokens of the different pavilions. If it wasn’t for that, then it shouldn’t have had enough power to shield them.
So the reason that Lin Fan was suggesting that they go back was because there were more pavilions that were there.
If they cleared the rest of the pavilion and increased the authority of the token, then it was possible that they would be able to take control of one of the pavilions in the main part of the Dao Sect.
Though that was really a long shot since they didn’t know how much power the authority even gave.
It was more that they didn’t have any other choice after experiencing the array of this law enforcement pavilion.
So it was all about trying to figure out what to do next.
Though they were lost in thought, it wasn’t as if they were completely oblivious to what was around them.
Ye Qing Huan was the most sensitive out of the three, which was why she was the one that noticed it first. As soon as she did, she immediately raised her guard as if she was preparing for a fight.
Lin Fan and Xiao Mu were surprised and a bit confused by this reaction from Ye Qing Huan, but they didn’t hesitate as they did the same thing. It was just that the two of them didn’t really seem to know what they were on guard against.
That was until there was something that came around the corner.
This was something that completely caught them off guard since they didn’t think that this thing would follow them, but it also made them raise their guard even more. After all, there was no doubting the danger that this thing posed.
The only reason that they didn’t make a move yet was because this thing didn’t do anything either.
It was just that from the way that this thing stood in front of them, they could tell that there was something that this thing wanted from them.
After the silence lingered in the air for a bit, Lin Fan finally broke it by asking, "Can I help you with something?"
He didn’t have an aggressive tone in his voice, he had a genuinely confused tone.
After all, he really had no idea what it was that this former disciple of the Dao Sect wanted from him.
But since this former disciple was part of the array that filled this law enforcement pavilion, they had no choice but to see what she wanted.
It didn’t seem like the former disciple of the Dao Sect was going to do anything at first.
Then all of a sudden, they came forward towards Lin Fan.
Lin Fan only tensed up and didn’t move since he could tell that it didn’t seem like this former disciple of the Dao Sect wanted to hurt him. However, he still had no idea what she wanted with him.
Once she was in front of him, she looked at him as if she was trying to find something.
Lin Fan didn’t know what she was looking for at first, but it didn’t take long for him to take out the token. This was the only thing that she could be looking for when it came to all of the things that he owned.
When he took out this token, she didn’t hesitate to reach her hand out towards him.
There was a part of Lin Fan that did want to back away at first when he saw this, but he remained still when he saw that there was no hostility that came from the former disciple of the Dao Sect.
After a while, the former disciple placed her hand on the token in his hand.
When she did, there was this glow that passed from her hand to the token. It entered the token and seemed to combine with it before disappearing without a trace.
But there was no need for anything else to happen.
Since Lin Fan was linked to the token, he could already sense what had happened from his link to the token.
It was just that he couldn’t understand why the former disciple had done something like this.
"Your name is Su Ling?" He slowly asked the former disciple that just floated there in front of him.
The former disciple who was named Su Ling just gave a simple nod in response.
It looked like Lin Fan wanted to say something else, but it was a bit hard for him to say it in the end. After all, it wasn’t as if he could simply ask her why she was bothering to come with him, even forming this contract through the token.
Since he didn’t say anything, it seemed like Su Ling had lost interest in him and turned to leave.
However, through the connection that he had formed with her, Lin Fan knew that this wasn’t the case.
"It seems like there’s something that she wants to show us." Lin Fan said without showing any emotions since even he didn’t know how to feel about all of this.
Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu didn’t seem to react to this either, but it was clear that they didn’t have a good feeling about this. It would have been strange if they had a good feeling about this.
Still, it wasn’t as if they could do anything.
They still had to rely on the power of the token to weaken the suppression in this place, so it wasn’t as if they could leave Lin Fan’s side. They even had to keep their hands on his shoulder just for this reason.
After following Su Ling for a bit, they found that the place that they had been brought was some kind of dormitory. This seemed to be the dormitory for the disciples of the law enforcement pavilion since it was attached to the law enforcement pavilion.
Su Ling stopped in front of a certain door.
Even without the connection to Su Ling, anyone could see that Su Ling wanted them to open this door and enter this room. It was just that they had no idea what this room was for.
In the end, Lin Fan was the one that came forward and pushed the door open.
"It’s just a normal dorm room?"
That was his first reaction when the door opened and he saw what was inside, but he soon realized that it wasn’t as simple as it seemed.
After opening the door and entering the room, he realized that there was something different about this room.
When Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu who were attached to him entered the room as well, they couldn’t help looking surprised because there was something that disappeared from around them.
They had to look at Lin Fan as if they were confirming something and he just gave a simple nod in response.
Seeing this, they released their hands from his shoulder.
At first it seemed like they were bracing themselves for something to happen, but there wasn’t anything that happened in the end.
Normally, they would have been crushed by the pressure that was in the law enforcement pavilion.
But it seemed like as long as they were in this dorm room, there was no pressure that would fall on them. Which did make sense since it would be strange if a place for rest had the same pressure as everywhere else.
This was a place that didn’t have the same suppression since this was a place for the disciples of the Dao Sect. They weren’t being punished like the prisoners that were trapped in this place.
Once they figured this out, they looked at the other doors in this place.
Only they weren’t able to open them in the end.
It wasn’t hard to figure out why they were able to open this one dorm room, it was all because of Su Ling who had shown them the way.
Without permission from Su Ling, they never would have been able to enter this room.
So they should give up on the other rooms in this dorm since they wouldn’t be able to access it unless they had permission from the other former disciples and elders.
But at the very least, they had accomplished what they wanted to do.
At the very least, they had created this safe zone.
